Very large site which in season would appeal to families as bases are covered for all ages. Plenty of cycling and walking opportunities as you are near the forest. Visited in low season and only 1 toilet/shower block open which was unisex. It was filthy. No toilet paper so make sure you take your own - this appears to be the norm for French sites though. Laundry facilities on site but expensive. Site mainly consists of residential and there appear to be no planning requirements as some of them have motley constructions around either statics or caravans. Barking dogs and what appear to be stray cats that take every opportunity to try and get in your unit. There are also purpose built chalets/gives in a separate part of the site. You are well away from the village of Signy-Le-Petit which has the basics in terms of shops etc. We ate in the on site restaurant on first night and were pleasantly surprised as to the quality and the fact that it appears to be open every day for lunch and dinner. Only us and one other couple though. Very french menu I. E. Foie gras, frogs legs etc. Not particularly what we would choose but did find something from the menu. The reception staff are friendly and speak good English. Electric hook up and water on pitch. Would we return probably not but in low season there is not many campsites open.
Visited the site with another motorhome and we got large hardstanding pitches next to each other. If fact so big we got both units on 1 pitch and and opened up the awnings to give rain protection between the two. Site is located at the top of a fairly steep hill above the lovely village. Very close to border so we cycled into Belgium. Staff efficient and helpful. As late in season just 1 toilet block open which was cleaned every morning. Shower spacious and water was hot enough with push button operation, A lot of statics units on site, many had been prepared for winter. Pool was open but water was a bit too cold for me! Fresh bread available most mornings and restaurant was open at weekend.
Hison closest place with supermarkets and cheap diesel but not a lot else. Would we go back? Probably not as other places to explore
