Fantastic site. Nice. Very quite even though howling Gale's all weekend. Stopped for a full week. Only problem had to go and find Ken to pay him for the stay. A little tight to get a long van in. Booked for next year. Ken is first class, always helpful

Another lovely peaceful stay at Sunset Strip. Immaculate as always, and Ken and Sue, Warders always at hand, full of local knowledge on where to go and what to see. Including where to sample the best fish and chips the area has to offer! Looking forward to our return next year.

A lovely quiet location, very well maintained by Ken and Sue, wardens, who ensured our holiday went well, they could not have been more helpful, keeping the site immaculate and always available to help with directions and places of interest to visit in the area. Will definitely return and recommend to all our fellow caravanners who appreciate great scenery in a quiet 5 van location with lots to do in nearby areas. The only reason we gave 6/10 for child friendliness is the lake to the rear of the site which we were very aware could be a problem for unsupervised children. However our two grandchildren ( 5 and 3 year olds) had a lovely time and kept away from the water!

Lovely site, wardens really friendly, site very well maintained.
Ideally located for a walking holiday we walked everywhere including Scarborough and Filey!only downside to this was no pavements from site into Cayton.
The shop in Cayton very good, chip shop too.
All in all a good place but would say more suited to adults and ideal for dogs having a large enclosed adjacent field which they can run about in off the lead.
I agree with other review about toilet point which wouldn't cost much to upgrade.

Management response: Thank You for your feedback.
We have taken on board your comments and the waste disposal point has had an overhaul. Its now been re-painted, cleaned up and had new signage etc ready for the 2012 season.
Due to the unusually mild winter and lack of rain, fishing in the pond is currently unavailable as the pond water level is so low!
We hope to see you again in the near future!

This is a lovely quiet and peaceful little C. L site about half a mile from Cayton village where there are pubs and a shop and at a guess about a mile and a half from the Bay.
It is down a lane which is set back from the road, the entrance is a tight one but our van is long and we managed fine.
Laura the owner, rang me before our arrival and said they would be away while we were there this posed no problem at all. When booking I asked if they had a no ball games around units, and dogs on leads rule and Laura assured me they did.
The site has no facilities but does have electric hook ups.
Pitches are mown grass and were all level and spacious, with lovely views. It was a real treat to watch the swallows flying around and feeding their young.
There is a pond on site at the back of the pitches which is unfenced this again was no problem but something to be kept in mind for people with small children, although as there is no play area I felt the site was more suited to adults anyway.
The site is near perfect for a peacful relaxing break but one thing that we felt let it down was the toilet waste point. My hubby and a couple of other people there said it was the worst they had come accross, and it wouldn't have been a lot of trouble or cost to imrove it.
All in all we enjoyed our stay and would return if we wanted to stay in the area again.
Just to note.
The cc book said turn off the A1039 at Folkton Carr Lane. This road said not 'suitable for caravans', we did turn down and asked a local man who said it was because of the hump back bridge, we carried on and the bridge was fine, we saw other caravans going this way too. The alternative would have meant going quite a long way round to Cayton.
