This site is situated between Frejus, Saint Aygulf and Roquebrune. It is sited on the banks of the river Argen, next door to camping Etoile D'Argens and is a 2 mile cycle ride, partly along a bumpy road, to the beach.

The site is spotless, the toilets and showers were always clean and toilet roll was provided but tended to run out towards the end of the day. The toilets, showers and wash cubicles are all unisex, one set is situated near the bar and tent camping, the other two blocks are towards the river, in amongst the statics and are always quieter, there are even two extra large shower rooms with basins.

The pitches are level, shaded, a generous size and ours had its own water tap. EHU is also available.

This site was a lot cheaper, although still very pricey compared to the rest of France, than any of the others I'd tried in the area. There were six of us, so a couple may find a cheaper site a la ferme but not a family of 6.

There is a bar/snack/pizza area, boules court, small play area, volleyball/football area and mooring is available for boats.

It is situated adjacent to quite a busy road but the noise didn't bother us, I think the owners, who are very warm and friendly, would acomadate a request to pitch further from the road.

By day the site is quiet, laid back and pleasant. The site is ideally situated for exploring the coast and inland, we used the back road over the hill/mountain to Ste Maxime. We also did a day trip to the Gorge Du Verdon (1. 5 hours away) and Lac De Cassien (half hour away).

Croissants and baguettes can be bought from the bar in the morning but there is no shop. Lydl in Frejus is 5 mins away as well as Geant and other supermarkets.

Every night there is entertainment in the form of singers, karoeke, music quiz (in French) and Lotto. It finishes at midnight and my only gripe is that the bar is situated next to the camping area and being very near to the action meant listening to the most tortuous singing on Karoeke night until midnight. I have nothing against a good time, I have been know to sing before now but I seriously considered pulling the electrics on several nights.

Having said all that I would return, the owners are lovely and very proud of their immaculate site, the situation is well away from the crowds but within easy reach of the beaches etc and we enjoyed cycling to the beach each day.
