The campsite name is not visible from the road entrance, so we went past it a few times. We went with 3 other families and booked in advance, 4 electrical hook ups, on the family field. But on arrival we were told there was not enough electrical hook ups and would have to go down onto the field next to the entertainment which is not ideal with young children.
The site was on a massive slope, again not ideal, and had to all camp in a line rather than be together. The manager told us that he was expecting 450 people which was very surprising when we found that there were only three toilets and two showers, in the same hut, which were unisex for the whole site.
The showers, if you can call them that, were just a dribble of water which were freezing and only ran for 30 seconds at a time if you were lucky, as the pressure was low. One of the showers had a broken lock on the door which was not a full length door.
The shower block was right next door to the washing up area which was not very private. The washing up area, for the first two days, had no hot water and then the next day had scalding hot water.
The whole washing area was on decking which got very slippery and dangerous when wet. Which was most of the time. The toilets got to a point which was past disgusting as the signs say not to flush them which encouraged a huge amount of flies.
The soap and toilet paper were not replenished to cope with the demand. There were very few litter bins so there was lots of rubbish left lying around which encouraged a lot of wasps, which was not ideal with children.
The site said the entertainment would go off at 11pm and then the other campers would be told to turn off their music at midnight. The first night the music went off at 4. 30am the second night was 2. 30 am at my request, which again which was not ideal with children.
When I spoke to the manager about these issues he was very rude to me and said I was a party pooper and should shut up and just enjoy myself. I was very shocked at his reaction as he shouted this at me in front of my children.
Later this same manager set fire to a grass maze and encouraged all the children to jump over the flames in a bizarre cult ritual.
I have been camping all my life and have never visited a site as bad as this and will definitely not be returning.

We camped here in a group of 3 from Friday-Monday and our stay was really pleasant. It was very welcoming and had a lovely stay, with roughly 5 other tents pitched up. There was a use of a fridge and freezer which was available to use, and hot water. In the same cabin there was a snooker table and sofas to sit on, which we spent a lot of time there. I saw comments saying its a bit dirty, but that's what to expect when camping.
The toilet block is unisex but was no problem for us, it had 2 showers with doors and 3 toilets. At times there was hot water in the morning and some points during the day. The end toilet door didn't shut properly but it shut to.
There was plenty of water points located around the site.
There was a communal site and place to sit by the bar, which served nice hot chocolate, and on the night times the tents gathered around.
The dogs was lovely that they owned on site, they wanted to play fetch all the time and was very friendly. They stayed at the top of the field most of the time.
The walks around the field and woods are very nice, and the owners told us how to access the routes.
The land for tents was slightly on a slope but it was perfectly fine to pitch a tent up.
The only negative thing about this was that it was not sign posted properly, it had a sign saying 'Glamping' and we drove past it a further 4 mile and then realised it was the place we wanted.
We all had a great time camping here!

We camped on a very wet May half term holiday. The field has the look of a festival the morning after. The grass was very long and when wet (which was most of the time) it made everything wet and muddy.
I thought the toilet block could be improved - there was no where to hang your towel when having a wash (a few hooks on the front of the basin cabinet would have been useful), the paper towel roll hand no holder but was just left on the side to get wet.
Likewise there were no toilet roll holders. On two mornings there was no hot water for showering. When I did shower, the cubicle flooded - there should be a shower curtain and a wooden slatted mat to step onto as the floor was really muddy.
Also given the weather conditions the toilet floor should have been mopped more frequently as lots of muddy wellies tend to leave lots of dirt. There were a few nice decorations but more attention needs to be placed on the practicalities first.
The outdoor pot washing sinks had no hot water or shelter. There is a kitchen/games room in a port-a-cabin but it looked really dirty and the whole place smelt of stale tobacco.
I wouldn't put my freezer blocks in the fridge-freezer either as the freezer compartment was full of bread rolls but also the fridge had no shelves and was dirty. One morning there was a large pan of what looked like oxtail stew sitting on the hob - grim.
I used the water heater urn, washed up and got out. However my two children loved the pool table and were happy to stay in there playing pool. Also Rosie the dog kept them occupied too playing fetch.
The site is also very sloping which personally I don't like. I felt like I was on a boat, staggering around inside the tent! It was nice to have the wood brought to the tent and have a camp fire outside the tent though.
Even though it was half term the field was almost empty - just us and a couple of others so I suppose that's why the communal fire was never lit. The site was getting a bit wet and muddy by the toilet block which I think should have been attended to instead of strimming the grass pathways that no-one was using anyway.
I don't think that it's our kind of site, so I won't be returning.

I am a single Father with an 10 and 12 year old boys we stayed in a Yurt.
We arrived around 6pm and booked in and made to feel welcome by Ian at the house.
We were shown to the Yurt and it was only than that the true beauty of the site was seen with the rolling hills and stunning views. The sunset that evening was out of this world. The Pod we stayed in had 4 single beds it was cool during the day and warm at night.
Mal's bar is a great place to relax is kid friendly with games and pool available to keep them entertained. Ian's wife Alchectra was always busy around the camp preparing the pods selling fire wood and bar tending at Mal's Bar.
One thing that is not mentioned on pitchup is that a breakfast is provided for the pods on a daily basis consisting of a lovely Cumberland sausage, bacon, eggs, butter, jam and each morning fresh warm rolls delivered to your door.
The star of the camp is Rosie the dog who is always around wanting for her ball or stick to be thrown, she is great with the kids and is always friendly.
On our last night we were offered the use of a tent by the owners so that we could stop a bit longer even though they were booked up.
What more can I say other than we are going back next summer.

Lovely little site, fairly new, it was very quiet and peaceful, when we went there was a maximum of 5 campers at one time. Firepits were provided and firewood provided If needed. Toilets and shower block were clean and tidy, unfortunately they were unisex but being a quiet site, if you timed it right any awkwardness was avoided :)
Staff were very helpful and friendly. There was a bar which was small but perfectly formed with a good selection of drinks and a few other bits and bobs.
Plenty of electric/water points and hot water.
There was a great traditional rope swing which the kids loved and the campsite dog rosie who was an extremely well behaved dog who loved catching balls/sticks but was never a problem if you weren't a doggie person as she'd head off to another camper who did want to play, I think everyone on the campsite chucked a ball or two for her :)
Overall a great little site if you want to get away from it all, will definitely come again.

We stayed here for a couple of days over the bank holiday, and it is a beautiful quiet site, with loads of space, and views across open countryside all around.
It is connected to a mountain boarding venue and I think is primarily used for this, which is great fun and cheap to have a go at. It is definitely recommended by our daughter. Open fires are positively encouraged and lit for you if required, though a small fee for the wood was charged.
The owner was very helpful and friendly, nothing seemed too much hassle and even said to get them up in the middle of the night if we had any problems.
The facilities are very basic. At present no hot water, really no shower and basic toilet. They did seem to be doing some building work so I assume some of this will be updated eventually.
If you want hot showers and freezes this is definitely NOT the campsite for you, but if you are happy to boil a kettle for hot water and not wash too much it is really nice and peaceful with great views of the Malverns.
We didn't find a shop within walking distance but within a short drive most things could be found.
