 We came across this site by chance as it was roughly midway to the next area that we were to visit. It is a gem.
The beautifully peaceful site is on the side of a hill so some of the pitches slope, but none too much. Each pitch is very large enabling caravan awning and car comfortably accommodated. The electric is 16 amps.
There is a large swimming pool and a paddling pool, all very new, along with a very nice children's play area. The owner said they were for her grandchildren to enjoy so they had to be good.
Bread is bookable at reception and the free WiFi is around the bar but most of the shopping is done at either Pelussin about 1 km up the road or in Chavanay - a big Leclerc for food and fuel.
There are walks, mountain bike rides, normal bike rides galore. All of them incredibly well sign posted. For fellow wimps there is the Via Rhona which is the route alongside the river and very, very flat.
There are loads of wonderful scenery and mediaeval villages for the history buffs.
Approach the campsite from Pelussin on the D79, no matter what lies your satnav tells you
We will certainly add this place to our 'must return to' list although had it probably is not a favourite place for teenagers who have to be kept amused
