This site is truly delightful and technically is just in Loire Atlantique - the River Viliane being the border with Brittany. Nice clean shower block(purchase tokens from Martine on daily visit) and washing up area. Nice shady site on banks of Nantes Brest Canal with superb walking and cycling along the footpaths. The lock keepers cottage is a delight with the wonderful floral display in summer. Nearest town is Fegreac which has bars, restaurant and a small mini market. Redon has all the usual supermarkets and facilities associated with a large town. Also of interest is the 'Maison de Canal' museum which is 6kms along the towpath or 10 minutes by road(Martine also runs this and will advise on opening times). There is old open mine very close to site which has been converted for use for theatrical productions and small concerts(because of this the site is often busy in July and August). Perhaps not too much to do for children and site more suitable for couples or singles without children. Please note that Martine is very helpful but only speaks French.
