Whilst heading south east through France on a EU motorcycle tour, I came to this campsite fairly straight forward.
Sometimes it is difficult to see the telltale signs for a campsite whilst looking where your travelling on busy roads alone.
I hadn’t booked so was happy on arrival to get a pitch next to the Loire river. Two nights cost me €24.
You are only 10 mins walk to the town centre which is very old. Plus, the bus service is good if you want to visit Orleans. This town has a connection with Joan de Arc and there is a nice statue.
Good clean toilets and showers, quiet. There is an area to play boules and a children's park and also river walks.
But it is Jargeau itself that made it a special stay.

Reviewers - mature couple with campervan and bikes.
It's many years since we stayed at this campsite, so decided to break our journey here. The entrance is how I remember it, a tightish turn just by the bridge and a narrow lane following the river, past an 'aire', utilised by motorhomes and cyclists alike. Just before you enter the campsite, there's a children's playground and access to a river beach.
The reception and barrier were shut when we arrived at lunchtime, with no sign up re the opening times. However on speaking to people already on the site, we found that they are closed from 12 -1. 30.
Once checked in, we were invited to choose our own pitch. It was nice and shady under the trees, though there were more open pitches available too. The pitches are flat and grassy, we chose one near the perimeter fence, which backs on to the riverside woodland.
The sanitary block was nearby, separate facilities for men and women, but not many of them, some were locked. Washing up is outside, the water was nice and hot.
Further back in the site are mobile homes, some appear to be seasonals. There's another sanitary block there too, I saw the cleaner at work.
We cycled into the town, very close. It was Sunday so most places were closed, though we managed to buy bread. There's a historic building in the town recommended viewing so we'll look out for that another time.
We enjoyed our stay here and would use the site again.

Campsite by the Loire river not that you could see it because of tall trees. Entrance a little difficult to find. Level grassy pitches that was quite overgrown. Generally looked like it could do with some TLC.
Newish toilet bock but showers still only warm. Ladies only had 2 showers but had 7 toilets, seemed a bit of a mistake when block was designed. Only one mirror but with no shelf or hairdryer plugs.
Wifi free around reception but didn’t work some of the evenings we were there.
Super you express within walking distance just over the river.

We visited this site after a wet spell and the grass was long and very wet. There is a new toilet/shower block near the entrance but the touring pitches, all grass are further away. None has a river view, the toilet closest to the touring pitches is in need of updating. Free wifi available within 30 mtrs of reception. Lovely town close by. The entrance road is narrow and sloping. The owner lives on site and reception is closed 12-3pm.

This is a handy stopover for north-south travellers using the Loire valley route.
If travelling on the north side of the river you cross on the D921 bridge to the south bank and turn right immediately after crossing then - after a short distance - right again. Be prepared as this turn can come up a bit quick and it's a tight turn.
The site has plenty of shady pitches. The toilets/showers etc are housed in a modern block which was clean. There weren't enough cubicles but this may have been because some facilities were shut up for end of season. We were there late August just as the main season had finished and the reception was closed for the 2hr lunch break with the security barrier down. Not far from here is Checy Caravans which we found quite useful as we had a jockey wheel problem.
