 This aire is a minute walk from Futroscope, so it is ideal for an overnight stay, which allows visitors to the theme park to see the late evening light and firework display. Entry is via a security barrier. A ticket is issued, which is used at the office for payment and for exit from the aire. The fee is 6 Euros per night, to be paid on arrival, but it is necessary to vacate the aire by 8. 00 am the following morning, or another 6 Euros is due. Dogs can be left in kennels on the aire while visiting Futuroscope but I do not know the cost. (One hound could be heard howling pitifully when we were there). There are some trees providing shade for some parking bays and the surface is tarmac. There are also water disposal facilities. We felt secure in this aire as there were several rows of vans parked when we were there and it was very convenient to fall into our made-up beds when we returned around 11. 15 pm. This was our fourth visit to Futuroscope and although the ground-breaking film technology first introduced at the park does not seem to have advanced significantly, the 3D films continue to provide entertainment and education. There are dynamic adventures as well as more gentle experiences. Other entertaining activities take place within the park, such as street theatre, water bikes and play areas. There are also landscaped areas for picnics or to stroll around. Be prepared to queue early in the day during the summer months for the different venues, but an effort is made to keep everyone entertained while waiting. A wonderful day out for both adults and children.
