Lovely small site on a sloping landscape below the town. Trees give some shade. All facilities as described in 2019 review, and we made use of the microwave oven.
We only stopped one night in transit to Ile de Re, but the town is worth seeing on a hilltop location.
The lady on duty spoke fluent English, and as our ferry had been delayed I emailed the site during the day and she kindly sent me the gate code needed after 6. 30pm.
Very reasonably priced with low season ACSI discount. Highly recommended site.

Lovely site just below the medieval walls of Domfront. It is a steep climb up to the town but well worth it.
The Normandy countryside is gorgeous and the campsite has a nice view with generous hedged pitches and trees for shade.
There are excellent, clean facilities including a very comfortable sitting room with a sofa, books, TV and wifi. There is also a fridge freezer and microwave here so if you come in a tent you have everything you need.
The woman at reception said she has run the site for 27 years without missing a day; it feels like a site that is loved!

Beautiful site. Setting makes it feel like a garden. Pitches all neat and tidy. Well marked.
Toilet/shower area always very clean. Lots of hot water. Price very good. Quite site. Warden very friendly/helpful.
Provided with map of town and whats around area. A well placed camping site for Domfront.
Ten minute walk to town center. A site we would use again.

We found the approach to this site, through a commercial and residential area, with the town in the distance, off putting but the grassy terraces, hedged pitches and mature tress provide a very rural setting and there are views across countryside.
Reception is only open for two hours each day but a code is provided when pre-booking to allow entry through the gates. Our reserved pitch number didn’t seem to exist, so we used the intercom at the gate to talk to the warden – keep the button pressed as you speak.
I imagine unbooked pitches can be reserved using the intercom. The building housing the facilities is very attractive and a real effort has been made to make it merge with the surroundings.
There are washing areas for clothes and dishes, and a laundry room. Toilets, showers and cubicles with sinks are provided for men and women. There is free push-button hot water in the showers and a shelf and hook to keep clothes dry.
Toilet paper is provided but no toilet seat. Information about the surroundings are provided at reception and there is a small TV on the wall of an adjoining room, which is open when reception is closed. I don’t think there is any WiFi connection.
A pleasant feature is the herb garden, which visitors are invited to use. The delightful medieval town of Domfront is a ten minute walk away and there is a cycle route nearby apparently.
A very pleasant site that I readily recommend. The pitch with electric hook-up cost only 11. 50 Euros per night, which included a discount for C&CC membership, which is very reasonable for a site of this standard and its location.
