Having seen the site when I visited the area 14 years ago I was looking forward to coming with my caravan. On arrival it was quite clear that there was a lot of building work in progress.
We booked in and was shown a pitch on a map, I wanted a fully serviced pitch but non were available. At our pitch it was like it was part of the car park and the ground was a soft gravel.
I pitched the caravan and had to ask where everything was as nothing was sign posted. The waste bins were behind a wall by the entrance.
The chemical disposal point was also the grey waste disposal and the one tap of the whole site with a hose pipe attached. This tap was for flushing the chemical waste and filling your fresh water containers, a massive no no in my book.
There were ground workers and machinery going all afternoon. We were woken at 7. 15 am to the sound of ground works being carried out. I had had enough by now and left the site.
The toilet and shower block were all new and were beautiful, plenty of hot water. When all the works are complete it will be a lovely site but at the moment I don't think it should be open. Especially with the water situation as it is.

We booked ahead for 10 days. It is probably worthwhile to get here earlier than we did as they don't allocate a pitch (and the best ones go first).
That said we had a nice pitch with EHU and water. As is common with continental campsites the pitches are smaller than in the UK but OK for Outwell Montana + awning. The location is simply wonderful on the lakeside and we had some lovely cycle rides right from the campsite.
The campsite had wonderful facilities with washing and shower facilities an external and internal children's playroom and lots of space for them to play.
Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. It is well located for a relaxing holiday, walking visting the glacier on the Kitzsteinhorn. Driving the Grossglockner High Alpine Road and visiting other sights in the Hohe Tauern National Park.
We will definitely return.
