We have used this site many times over the past few years, and were indeed one of the first visitors when it opened. The price has not risen in the past 3 years, and the welcome is still there as it was when we fist visited (a genuine welcome ). The site has a gentle slope towards the bottom gate and the grass is always cut to perfection. The owners have put a lot of effort into making this a really wonderful CL.

This lovely peaceful site is all of 6 miles from our home! We first stayed here for a week in June while we were having our new kitchen fitted - it was great to be able to shut the door and drive away at the end of a long day. On this occasion there were a couple of other vans on the site for some of the time we were there.

We've just been again for a weekend away - you don't have to go far to feel like you're miles from home! This time we were the only van on the site, which is a shame because it really is lovely.

The site slopes a bit but the views from the top across fields and woodland are lovely. Although its a mile from a main road, it is so peaceful. The facilities are typically basic of a rural CL (no toilet or shower provided). Water pressure is good and the toilet empty point is easy to use (very important for him what does it!).

You will need your car to get anywhere from the site - there are a couple of National Trust properties nearby, as well as the new St Georges Football Centre. Burton-on-Trent is s short drive away, as are Derby, Lichfield and Uttoxeter. The National Forest Centre is also within easy reach, as is the Peak District.

This CL could very easily become our new weekend destination!

We stayed on this site in early August for a week. This is a delightful adult only site set in a farm in Yoxall a small village halfway between Lichfield and Burton on Trent.

The cl is 1 acre of slightly sloping grassland well fenced with young hedging planted all around and, being slightly elevated, with views over adjacent farmland.

The adjoining field was being used to rear 14 young cattle which were always very curious as to your intentions and added to the tranquil feel of the place.

Being a new site the water and waste facilities were pristine and of good quality. Electric hookups were amply provided, seven in all, well spaced around the perimeter.

With the info pack from Mrs Holsey we felt very welcome and ready to venture forth to discover the delights of Lichfield and its Cathedral, Burton and its Brewery museum (yes free tasting) and the not to be missed National Memorial Arboretum.

National trust properties abound and it`s only an hour away from the peak district and its beautiful views.

We would be happy to return to this site anytime and whole heartedly recommend it to fellow caravanners.
