 This is a lovely CL, level, good access, good views to the east, surrounded by fields but only 2 miles from J12 of the M40. From the motorway, turn left and left at the mini roundabout just after entering Bishop's Itchington, the site is about 1/4 mile on the right and is signed throughout. Sky tv can be found quite easily.
Madeleine the owner is friendly and helpful. She supplies a recycling box for each unit. At the end of your stay she will be around, take the box to the edge of the field where you will see the large bins and Madeleine will empty them, a thoughtful touch. She also sells free range eggs from the chickens which cluck away at one side of the site. These and the church bell practice on Thursday evenings are the only annoyance.
This is a strictly 5 van site and is probably more suitable for couples without children as there isn't anywhere for them to run around. The village is within walking distance; towards the back of the site there is a gate and little plank footbridge over a dried up stream. Right and right again goes to the village, down the hill and left goes to the pub and fish and chip shop, keep going right to a small Co-op and paper shop.
Southam is about 3 miles away and has more shops and fuel (including a Tesco). Try Ufton Fields SSSP for nice walks, and Avon Dassett Country Park, both within 5 miles.
The price is £9 per night, excellent value.
