Arrived here for 2 nights at Easter. The site is level with a toilet/shower block which is without electricity.
I loved this site, the lady who runs the site is very nice and helpful. There is a hotel 10 minutes walk from the site which serves meals. The minor road runs next to the site but it is very quiet and didn't really bother me. There are lovely views over the Solway to Dumfries and Galloway. The roads approaching the site are narrow so you need to take care.
There is a small chapel next to the site and you can use their kitchen which has a sink with hot water, microwave and a kettle. There are biscuits, tea, coffee and soup available. There is a donation box for anything you use, how lovely is that.
I will definitely come back

The site is a 100yds towards the village from the farm. Just a well kept field with water and bins, and a wooden hut with a wc and sink, the shower bit is just for show! No electricity, but the toilet does flush. Very friendly owner. Charged £10 for 2, will let you decide if you think that is good value. Pub in Port Carlisle did real ale, but no food, although said they do intend doing food in the future. We therefore walked to the Highland Laddie at Glasson, about 25 mins walk in the other direction, where we had a very nice, reasonably priced meal, a decent beer, and a chat with the friendly Irish barmaid.
Site is about a mile and a half from the start ( or finish!) of Hadrian's Wall walk, on the route.

Beautiful spot ( check tide times because the road sometimes covers)
I had planned on camping but the very friendly/helpful owner told me about the camping barn.
This was warm, spacious, spotlessly clean, only £10 per-person including hot shower, kitchen with fridge. Plenty of pans, plate etc.
Right on the Hadrian's Wall cycle and walking routes and very convenient for Carlisle and the Cumbrian Coast.

A nice little site very well placed for Hadrians wall path and a reasonable pub within easy walking, good value as well. BUT there is no electricity in the rather ancient and decrepit toilet block thus no lighting or hot water, when we complained we were offered a shower at the farm - some little distance away. The site was busy with a group of American Tourists travelling with an adventure company plus other guests. This meant that on a small site there were approximately 25 people with only one male and one female toilet to service their needs.
We feel that the owners should make it clear in the details that there is no hot water/electricity.
