Booked late for 1 night away, 2 adults and 2 young kids.
Arrived, everything seemed fine, field a bit uneven but plenty of space, no signs for toilet if there was one, we had our own so that was fine. As the evening came the site had filled up with what can only be described as undesirables who were clearly only there to drink and burn anything they could get their hands on. Noise went on all night with very loud swearing, thank god the kids are heavy sleepers. There seemed to be a number of groups of undesirables, don’t know if this is the normal clientele, but needless to say we won’t be going back. If you are looking for a family site, I would avoid this one!

Please note we have been advised that this site has closed, and no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches. As far as we know the pub itself is still open though. There are new toilet and shower facilities which are open even when the pub is not.

We stayed at the oak for three nights and was impressed with the landlord and his family, very friendlily people
The pub was very clean and toilets were very clean, but no showers and can only be use when pub open, food was well priced and really good
Weather was not so good, but the field not all level [you could find a good spot]. Drained well
I would stay there again very good pub.
Bad bits, some parts want updating like elsan point and water taps [more of them], but all in all a good stopover pub [beers good too]
