This is a former municipal, typically sited on the edge of the town by river and the sports ground, on the water meadows.
Facilities are quite retro - old-fashioned sinks with plenty of hot water; the loos have high-level cisterns and doors to the open air.
A small shop in reception sells ice creams; but there's a village shop by the entrance. Card operated barrier; there was a bouncy castle for the kids while we were there.
Plenty of space during August, so the place had a quiet feel. Plenty of wild birds in the area - sat outside the tent watching jackdaws and buzzards, while driving close by caught sight of a golden eagle.
Vic-sur-Cere is in a beautiful valley upstream from Aurillac (home of a large street theatre festival), and was once a small spa town. It still has an air of faded gentility, with a couple of rest homes and a few tourist shops.
A little off the beaten track.
