Easy, seamless check-in at the Clubhouse Bar. We had not booked ahead and although are members of the CCC we found this site quite by chance, using an app.
The CCC vehicles seemed to be pitched in the centre of the main field and everyone else next to the hedging around the perimeter. We chose to pitch up alongside of the hedge.
The ground was level and there was a mix of tents, campers and and motor homes.
Although a distance from the Clubhouse, there was entertainment on during the afternoon and evening-not intrusive, I might add. You can use the bar and there’s also an outdoor seating area.
The showers are communal ones and we did not use them, preferring to use our onboard facilities. Toilets are also available whilst the clubhouse is open.
A Car Show was being held in the field the next day and it was extremely busy with people coming and going.
Near to the expansive beach and handy enough to walk on the Promenade to Redcar or Marske, it is well placed.
We found a pleasant walk alongside the field which took us to Marske and then onwards to Saltburn via the Cleveland Way. Since the tide was out on our return, we walked back via the beach - great for the dog!
The water tap, which is on the field, is not too clearly marked but was accessible from either side of the motorhome. We filled up on arrival and topped up on departure. The chemical disposal point is on a grassy area opposite the Clubhouse. Plenty of industrial sized waste bins are available.
Redcar itself appeared quite ‘tired’ but there are plenty of shops to purchase supplies and a Morrisons supermarket for choice. We sat outside a bar, enjoying a pleasant drink and people-watching. A Redcar Race event had taken place that day so it was very busy! The locals are very friendly and we felt welcome.
Will definitely return when in the area. At £10 a night, it is good value.

This is a very basic site but conveniently located for exploring North Yorkshire and Cleveland.
This is a dog friendly site and within walking distance of the beach.
There are no electric hook ups and the toilets and showers are adequate.

We stayed here with the caravan and camping club on a THS and would stay there independently too.
The club secretary is friendly and helpful and so are the bar staff. You can walk to the beach and bus stop very easily.
There are no hook ups and the elson is a little way from the pitches. But for affordable camping in a good location this is a great site.
LPG gas is available at the local Morrisons which is handy.

Lovely site away from everything. But not far from the beach.
We just stopped as a stopover handy for Hartlepool Royal Navy museum the following morning, but it had everything we needed and gave a lovely quiet safe night's kip.
Toilets and bar only when we stayed (COVID) but clean and fine.
