 Long weekend to the wonderful Secret Valley, Wigwams. Here you will find six beautiful wooden, fully insulated, heated wigwams, with raised beds, comfy mattresses, fridge, kettle and toaster.
Facilities are very clean and tidy, including the fully equipped kitchen and wet room.
Each wigwam has its own firepit and Farmer John came in the evening to sell buckets of firewood, bottles of wine from the on site vineyard and electricity cards for the heater. £1 a time, we spent £3 on electricity over the full four days.
There is one small toilet in the camping field, with the main facilities a 2 min walk away.
Secret Valley is a working farm and visitors should remember this, so don't forget your wellies and torch.
The Children loved the free farm tour, of the chicken sheds, feeding potatoes to the cows, the reindeers, and the xmas trees. Plenty of walks from the farm and the views are beautiful. Plenty of safe areas for the kids to play in, including the playbarn and sand-pit.
Also, on site is Black Rock Activities, which include high ropes, archery, Kayaking and Mountain Boarding - these are paid for in addition.
Only addition needed is a cubicle with a sink, for days when you don't want a full shower.
We are regular campers, and found this experience superb, with that little bit of luxury. John and Jan gave us a warm welcome and we will be returning again, hopefully in the Autumn.
