 This is a popular campsite so it is best to send an e-mail reservation. Pitch sizes vary a lot so it is a good idea to let them know how big your tent is. Most (but not all) of the pitches had shade from large trees.
The site facilities were basic but clean. There was a single large block with showers, toilets, dishwashing facilities and sinks for handwashing clothes. The site had a couple of washing machines and driers, for which you could purchase tokens.
For the children there was a small play area, table tennis table (under cover) and mini golf (you can pay to hire clubs).
Unfortunately there is no shop, bar or cafe on site. The village of Lagord is within walking distance and has a boulangerie, a restaurant and a pizza take-away, but not much else.
Overall, good value for money and not far from La Rochelle and the Isle de Re, but would have been better for a small shop/cafe on site.

Excellent little municipal in a quiet suburb of La Rochelle. Quite large, grass plots divided by low hedges - may be too small for the largest caravans. Some distance inland from La Rochelle but an occasional 'bus goes from near the gates and more regular ones from a park-and-ride on the other side of the village: excellent for those people who like to gloat: you can zip along in the bus lane while watching the coast road traffic backing up to the horizon.
Not much in the direct locality - the village centre a couple of kilometers away with small shop, boulangier and resturant/cafes that we didn't see open. No facilities on the camp; clean, adequate unisex toilets; very friendly, helpful staff.
