This is a nice site, very quiet and peaceful, very friendly and helpful owner.
There is a kitchen with cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer plus dining table and chairs if you don’t want to use your own.
Bathroom all you need. It’s off a main road but traffic noise is minimal.
There’s a garage about 100yards away which is very handy
Ideally situated for Windsor and many other attractions in the area
The Greene Oak pub is about 4 minute drive, highly recommend this pub great food

Stayed for one night, very friendly and relaxed, not far from Windsor town,
The only thing that let it down was the spiders in the toilets! Don’t look above!

We stayed at this site for a few days, in order to visit our newly arrived Grandchild, whose parents live in nearby Windsor. At that time, it was evident major updating of the site is underway. Celeste ensured we were comfortable and all services worked for us. It is perfect for our requirements. There are not many options for campsites in this area, this one is excellent.

Just left this site after a 2 night stay to visit Windsor. Celeste made sure we found it easily and came out to meet us on arrival. The owners are trying so hard to make this site a good one.
There is a brand new shower room (1) and toilet/ washroom (1). So new it hasn't been tiled yet. But very clean, lots of lovely continuous hot water and the cubicle was big enough for me and both my kids at the same time.
The play area needs updating but it is being done.
The field has very hard ground which is a result of stones being laid to help drainage on the clay soil, so take good pegs. Once the grass has taken hold it will be better for tents.
The site is perfect for cycling into Windsor. There is the prettiest cycle track across the road along the side of the Thames. Route 4. Easily acheivable for my 10 yr old. Lovely and wide and flat. Crossing bridges and through woods. There's lots of bike parking in Windsor.
There are some vans on site belonging to workers but it didn't affect our stay at all.
There's a Costcutter next door for essentials and Lidl or tesco that you can drive to.
The site could do with a little information area with info on the local cycle & walking paths, legoland, Chessington, Thorpe Park and the local lake, which is perfect for a walk or cycle and picnic.
I think once this site is finished it will be great. We would definitely return.

Right, I stay at this site every week as it's the closest one to where I work and it's a reasonable 10 mile cycle ride. I've been there right through the winter (when will it end?) so I'm probably qualified to express an opinion!
The owners are nice people; friendly, helpful and accommodating. The site turns into a mud bath at the merest suggestion of rain but with a large, EHU-equipped, gravelled yard at the site entrance, this hasn't been a problem.
In terms of convenience, Queen's Acre has been great for me. The two gates aren't locked overnight so I could leave early and get back late (in theory as I cycle most days) unlike standard C&CC sites. There are showers which I don't use as I have access to one at work. Another bonus is a petrol station just over the fence with a well-stocked convenience store, handy for a cold beer while watching DVDs on dark nights. It's open 24 hrs; a bit of a double-edged sword as they have a tendency to use their deafening tannoy at 2am to remind some forgetful taxi driver to use the night counter.
The owners seem to be investing loads of cash in the place; an attached field is roughly 3 or 4 times the area of the current field, and will no doubt be utilised in due course, and I'm sure the drainage issues will be sorted eventually. I also expect they'll build a play area (there's nothing for kids at present) and install WiFi.
I've been paying £10 a night which is a bargain given the location. I think the site is going to start to get very busy soon!

Fantastic little site, level and secure. Lots of electric points and picnic tables.
We stayed here in tents (no ehu), the facilities although basic were just what we needed. There are 3 toilets and 2 showers, a wash point which had an handy shower head for cleaning pots and the usual elsan and waste water points.
The owner was welcoming and showed us a little short cut to legoland, which was a god save.
An ideal base for exploring Windsor and Cheap! Only £7 for tents (Caravan and Camping Club).
There are plenty of local pubs within a mile including a Harvester for cheap food x
We heard the road noise but fully expected for location.
Definitely plan to return in 2013!

A friendly, newly owned campsite being developed. Very reasonably priced. Impressed that all pitches had electric hook-up. Toilet block being developed. Brilliant location as we were only 5 miles from Legoland. It is next to a main road but overall I would recommend the campsite because of its cost and location.
There is very little there but it is being developed and it depends what you want from a campsite for the night when it's closeby.
Owner was very helpful when we couldn't locate the campsite with our sat nav.

We booked this site online and confirmed nearer the date over the phone. Celeste was very helpful with directions, it was easy to find off Jct 8 M4 by the BP Garage on the A308 main road into Windsor. The garage had a small Costcutter Shop attached which could be handy as there's nothing else within close walking distance.
We chose this site as we were going to Twickenham for the Army Navy game and it's an easy train journey from the Riverside Station (25 mins).
Taxi into town cost £10.
The site is very basic and not pretty but it is very functional. Good level site, it rained all weekend but we didn't get bogged in, Ricky came out when we left just to give us a hand if we needed it (in the pouring rain) He explained that he has plans to improve the site but at the moment it is very basic, electric hookup, drinking water, waste water and toilet disposal and 1 working loo.
If all their plans come to fruition this will be a great little site. £13. 50 a night I thought was good value.

The owners were so very friendly and helpful.
Basic site but we used our own facilities so didn't need the site to provide them.
Think that the owners intend to extend next year and provide toilets, etc but check if this is what you want.
The pub was closed and the owners advised they were turning it into a private house, so if you like to be in walking distance of a pub and/or food establishment this isn't the site for you.
However, we enjoyed our stay and thank the owners for all their help to make our few days in Windsor memorable ones.
