We have just returned after 13 nights. Myself, my wife, daughter 12 & son 10.
The site is extremely clean and we enjoyed the new shower and toilet block, best we have ever experienced.
The site is based on the shores of the lake. Our serviced pitch was 3 rows back from the lake. We were however about 50ft above and a 5 minute walk down to the lake. The lake itself was really nice to swim in and shallow out for about 20yds.
It is a very big site, we found that the majority of families were Dutch, followed by the Germans. We only noticed 3 or 4 other English families, that didn't bother us in the slightest.
The restaurant and bar was very nice and reasonably priced. There wHas also take away pizza that's costs from 4euro each.
We ventured on a day trip to Venice on the train, it took about 1hr40mins but a very easy journey. We also went to the beautiful city of Verona, which was 20min by car. We would recommend both of these days out.
We visited the next door water park and Movieland attraction(this is a small disney) cost was £100euro for a joint ticket for the family for the 2 parks, great fun again.
We took a day trip ferry ride around the beautiful lake, it stopped off at various ports. We all enjoyed this.
Staff were very friendly and spoke good English. On arrival we were taken in a golf buggy to choose our pitch, this was a nice touch.
The site had 7 pools to choose from, the pool with the flumes was our kids favorite. They were open from 10-7. Plenty of sun beds to go around.
There is a cycle route on the lake shore, Lazise is about 1. 5miles and a really flat easy ride.
Local markets were on most days and easy to find.
We were concerned about the cost of things around the lake, but we're very surprised how cheap things were. A meal for the 4 of us in a local town averaged 40-50 euro, the exchange rate at the mo is 1. 37.
We would recommend this site, but we did cycle past a few other large sites on the way to Lazise that were actually down level with the lake, but not sure how easy these would be to book a lake front pitch.
