We visited the site to watch the Tour De France stop and start at Luchon. We decided to book two weeks so we could visit the local area. The campsite owners were very welcoming and helped with any questions we had. Some of the pitches are small but we managed to park our 8m twin axle van. Electric hook ups are a mixture of French two pins and our three pin euro plugs. An additional cable may be needed for some pitches. The toilet and washing facilities were clean and well maintained being cleaned twice a day. During the two days the tour was in town the campsite became very busy and the facilities were stretched with the hot water running out in the evenings. We didn't mind as the atmosphere was excellent with so many cyclists on site! During the second week the site became less congested and it was very relaxing. The owners would often tour around in the evenings chatting to residents. Good English is spoken by one of the owners. Luchon is very pleasant with many cafes, bars and restaurants. It is a typical French town with plenty of atmosphere and activities during the day and evening. The cycling is also excellent but not for the faint hearted, many hills and mountains! I would recommend this site if you wish to visit this area of the Pyrenees.
