Great site for all families or couples.
Next to site is a crazy Golf with a cabin that's sells coffee and beers.
Sadly the town as no bars that we found.
All together a fantastic site for walking your dog in the woods and parks
Will go again with no hesitation.

In the beginning the location almost in a centre of the city seemed to be disadvantage especially in view of evening arrival and lack of outside parking.
On arrival all doubts vanished. Needed only to enter the campsite (no gate - cameras monitoring) and to find suitable pitch.

Easy to access and pitch up, warden comes round later to collect fees. Big pitches on a well kept site.
Very reasonable cost (£17 per night) for a Stellplatz in a city. Only 1 shower for ladies and 1 for men but did experience any difficulties or long waits.
Walking/cycling distance to Aachen centre, which is worth a visit.

Monday 8th June 2015. Nice little tree lined site, not far from the E40. Not very well sign posted though. A small secluded area is reserved for tents. The site caters more for campervans and caravans. Small toilet block, one toilet and urinal in the same room, very clean, 1 gents shower and its 1 euro for 5 minutes, 2 basins as you enter the gents block. There is a self contained disabled toilet, which we used if Ladies /Gents were occupied. 2 external pot wash sinks on end of toilet block.
We arrived at 6pm the kiosk was closed so pitched up and had sole use of the 1 picnic table.
Fairly close to a shopping area with small 'Kaisers' supermarket. Turn right out of site, left at traffic lights, petrol station on your left. Take the right hand slip road down the hill, car park on left at bottom, the pedestrian shopping area is on the left.
10 euros for our 2 metre sq tent, 2 adults and 1 motorcycle(we paid 20 euro p. N. In Rudesheim, more facilities though i. E. Washing /drying machines)
A very helpful and amiable attendant arrived in the morning.
Gave us good direction back to the E40, I navigate by the sun, unfortunately

The campsite is ideally situated for the town of Aachen which has many interesting places to visit.
As well as being able to walk into the town there is a regular bus service.
Aachen also has rail links to Koln and Bruselles etc.
The campsite facilities are good, pitches spacious staff friendly and helpful.
Thought the price was very reasonably.
Petrol station and shops nearby and the campsite sold bread.

Just spent 2 nights here we found the site to be very clean and tidy good value for money at 15 euro's per night including water electric etc we arrived at 10. 30am and just parked up. A chap came around at night to collect your money, you are about 1 1/2 miles out of the town.
Go out of the site to the right to the petrol station turn right to the bridge turn right and left at the traffic lights, the site is very quiet so you get a good night sleep toilet/shower block spotless get there no later than lunch or you might not get a place.
COMES HIGHLY RECOMENDED

To confirm what earlier reviewers have said, this is a basic site but fit for purpose ie access to the delightful city of Aachen. There is electric hook-up, and a clean shower/toilet block, though only two showers and two toilets in all (one male, one female). However, as the site is mainly used by large motorhomes which have their own washing and toilet facilities, this didn't pose much of a problem when we visited in late June, even though the site was pretty full.
The site is half a mile from Aachen's main station, so it's handy if you want to visit nearby Cologne by train, as we did. It's quite a walk into the city centre (about 2 miles) but there are frequent buses and also nearby supermarkets and cafes in the district of Burtscheid (where the campsite is situated) about five minutes' walk away.
We meant to use the site as a stopover but ended up staying a couple of nights. A nice touch is the bread cabin, where bread can be bought between 08. 30 and 09. 00.
As a previous reviewer said, the site is unstaffed but while we were there, someone came round to collect payment at 09. 00. Our fee was 15 Euros, which included electric hook-up.

We stayed here 2 nights mid-October on the way home from Italy.
We arrived late afternoon and were told by a UK occupant that the site is unmanned. Basically you choose a spare pitch and set up yourselves. The surface is gravelled although there was a small grassy area for tents. The majority of occupants were camper vans. The site manager came around later after dark to collect the campsite fees which were very reasonable.
The toilet block is quite small but very new and clean. There were not many occupants at the time we were there, so one can speculate what it would be like at a busy period in the Summer. The chemical toilet disposal facility was basically a hole in the ground with a metal lid as used by campervans.
Aachen is pleasant town, worth a visit, within walking distance of the campsite. There were helpful maps in the leaflet stand at the campsite.
We did not see much in the way of facilities for children, it appears to be mainly for overnight and short stays.
Overall we found the place very satisfactory for a stopover or short stay.

Adequate overnight stop maximum stay 3 nights in succession - city centre council run site - all hard-standing pitches with electric - open 24/7 - just pitch and pay in morning when the bread is delivered -
Toilet and shower adequate only one of each inside a port-a-cabin which is clean and tidy - queues likely - chemical disposal/ motor home service point -
Great en-route stop to central Europe from GB or vice versa.
