We thoroughly enjoyed this site. The situation is ideal, lots of cycle and walking paths, three restaurants in walking distance, and the food was lovely and reasonable. The facilities were always clean and the showers, once you got the hang of them were excellent.

As it was very early in the season the restaurant on the site only opened at the weekend, but it had a fab open fire with soft sofas surrounding it. We ate here one evening and the food and wine was very good and extremely reasonable.

The staff were very friendly and helpful, as they had a lot of rain we got bogged down and had to be towed to our pitch, but it was done very efficiently. The pitches are of a reasonable size and there are areas dedicated to touring vans (with quite few seasonal pitches).

This is quite a large site and there are lots of mobile homes, it was fun to look around the site, we have never seen so many different types of mobiles. We thought it had a real family feel to it. That said and done there were quite a few children there at the weekend and our pitch was by the playground, on one evening there was still noise at 11 o'clock, so I would imagine it is very noisy in the summer.

We used Camping Cheques and it was stay 7 nights for the price of 6, what a bargain.

A few words can only describe this campsite, what a good find! The location of the campsite is awesome with it being right on the shores of Lake Veere where sailing opportunities and diving are in abundance.

The Netherlands is also extremely cycle friendly and Camping De Veerhoeve sits on many cycle routes so you can peddle in a different direction every day to capture something new.

The nearest main town is Goes which is a pretty little place and can be reached in about 15 mins by bike. If you don’t take your bike with you the site has them to hire.

The site itself is perfectly manicured and the pitches are some of the best we have stayed on in Europe. There are quite a few seasonal vans on site but they have areas for tourers.

The toilet facilities were clean and warm but you need a token for the shower. We reserved our pitch in advance and paid with it on arrival with Camping Cheques making it cheap as chips!

There is a great Spar Shop on site which I found to be reasonable, there is also a bar and great little restaurant. There are other restaurants within walking distance on the shores of the lake.

The drive from Le Shuttle was under three hours and the drive was easy. My sat nav took me via a tunnel which was long and deep to get onto Zealands which seemed to go on forever, the cost was also €18 in the motorhome which I did think expensive but the islands can be reached by the mainland for free but may put a little extra few miles on the clock.

All in all a great site which I would recommend to anyone.
