Please note this site no longers offers camping or touring pitches. Previously known as Camping Spineuse it now has glamping units only to hire. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

Stayed here for four nights, while trying to avoid fuel strikes and flooding in France. The site was a welcome haven of calm; though the Ardennes hadn't escaped the rain either. As a result, everywhere was very soggy. The site does a good trade in stopovers for a mainly Dutch clientele.
The setting is stunning, in the meander of a small river in a wooded valley. A little road noise; we could spot the incoming camper vans.
From January 2016, the site has changed owners, so the goat, the donkey, and the bees have gone. We didn't see the lake or the zipwire either, but we didn't explore everywhere. The rabbits (escapees, not wild) are still hopping around; the owner told me there are about 15, but also a fox in the wood that keeps numbers under control. We spend many a happy hour playing Spot the Golden Bunny. The ducks too are escapes, though mostly now hybrids with the local mallard population. Some interesting crossbreeds.
The Dutch owners are friendly, with good English and French. Facilities are good. Cleaned frequently. The restaurant is also good quality and reasonable value - make your booking and menu choice by 5. 30.
There are good walks to be had in the area - there's a large lake just on the edge of town, and tracks in the woods at the back of the site. We also took an excursion to Bouillon: huge castle, riverside setting in a gorge, good food and beer. One couple were visiting WW2 sites; it's close to Bastogne, with a museum to the Battle of the Bulge.

This is a very beautiful campsite. It looks small for the trees but is actually a large site. There are no marked pitches and you are just pointed to an area you wish to pitch. Almost everywhere are hookup points.
Facilities naturally include a clean toilet/shower block, washing up area, and a laundry room.
There is also a small restaurant/bar in the reception area.
Owners Anja and Jan communicated in reasonably good English to get by but don't think they practised this much as don't think many British stop here for long enough. They work very hard to keep the place in the state it in: clean!
We stayed here for four (4) days with our two boys (4) & (7) after a two week tent camping tour of Alsace/Germany. The weather wasn't great when we got here but we made the most of it and in any case we needed the rest before further camping in the Netherlands. There's a small swimming pool and playground which the boys used every day. This was in sight of our tent but far enough for us to indulge in a book away from the screams.
Surprises were to be found in the hidden corners of this extensive garden campsite- a lake with it's own island, where we were allowed open fires. Fishing is free here! We didn't catch any though. Next to the lake is a really long zip wire which has now been a feature in the boys 'show & tell/what we did over summer' at school.
The owners also keep a goat, bees and donkeys which the boys fed and took out to walk (donkeys)! The bees produce a lovely honey which is sold in reception.
The wildlife is very tame; the ducks pecked at toenails; the rabbits came begging for food every so often.
The local town in walking distance through the 'forest' has a lake, sports centre, a Spar and Lidl and a sprinkling of small independent shops including a beer warehouse close to the Spar. There are some bars though we didt't venture into these. The walk/cycle route is very well maintained.
The location is a great stop over to East France, Germany etc as saw some families stopped for just a night.
We would return again.

Really pretty little site. Roomy pitches, with electric hook up. Friendly helpful owners, good English spoken. Immaculate, heated sanitary facilities including free hot showers, loos with seats AND toilet paper, washbasins with soap and hand dryer. Only slight gripe is grey water drainage is with chemical WC down toilet type disposal, not great.
Couple of children's play areas on site, tame 'free range' rabbits, ducks and chickens on site.
Excellent bread/ croissants delivered each morning to order. Laundry facilities on site.
Good base for visiting local places of interest including Bouillon ( massive castle with falconry displays and museum) and Bastogne. ( various war museums) Fantastic scenery.
Excellent value for money at €13. 20 per night including 16 electrics.

This is an ACSI site just off the E411 heading towards Luxembourg (junction 26)
The site was small, clean and very peaceful, charging 14 euros (ACSI rate) plus tax. It made an excellent first night stopover from Calais and we would certainly use it again. The reception was friendly and we were able to order bread & croissants. There was a bar and restaurant with food available as take away or eat in. The site was well cared for and had game birds and rabbits running loose around it. There was also a lovely dog walk. The shower and toilet block were very clean. (There is another ACSI site just next door to this one. )

Stayed here on way back from Italy arrived about 2 PM, we were the second tourer on site. Booked in and had to go through site to turn around to make way back to pitch. Others arriving later pulled up on side road off main site road and booked in, then moved van to pitch.
These had obviously used site before and knew where the touring pitches were situated.
Having said that it was an ideal stopover, quiet, good facilities and an extremely good restaurant, had the best steak we've had for a long time.
English spoken at reception so no problem booking in or ordering meals. There is a lake and river for fishing and rabbits and chickens are running loose.
There are two supermarkets in town, when heading into town when you reach junction with main through road turn left, both supermarkets are a short way along this road, Lidl is first and the other is with other shops in a small commercial complex a bit further on.
Second one has much more choice. Another site filed away for future use

Looks nice enough site. We were directed to what was called their motorhome pitches - 3 hardstandings with grass in between behind the buildings.
We just had a view of the bins and hedges and our neighbours had a view of the side of our van. Not as nice as the rest of the site. Especially bad when we discovered at 4.30 am we were next to the chickens and cockerels.
The showers block was good enough and clean. Probably could do with refurbishment. Seemed to be several playground areas. Bar/cafe seemed popular. Washing up area undercover outside.
We won't be returning as we do like to sleep in until 7am.
