A great little site with serviced pitches and a toilet. Lovely friendly, helpful owners who were so welcoming to us. This was our first outing in our first caravan and we will definitely be back. Set in beautiful surroundings with shops and pubs nearby.

A little gem of a site tucked away in beautiful countryside but within easy reach of towns and places of interest. The facilities were clean and well organised. There are two lovely pubs within walking distance which serve good ales and food. We used the local taxi service which was prompt and reasonably priced. Our hosts and their family welcomed us warmly, were very helpful and made our stay perfect. Overall we felt like we were staying with friends!
Looking forward to returning again.
Thanks to one and all for a super weekend.

Stayed here quite a bit lately and it's a great little site. On a bit of a slope which is fine for caravans but motorhomes will need ramps but there are some on site if they are not being used.
Electric hookup and water tap and drain on all the pitches which is included in your pitch fee. Site lit at night if you need to use the loo. No shower but very clean toilet, sink and hand wash basin. Very warm if it's cold outside and lashings of free hot water.
There is a pub not too far away but it is uphill going but easy walk back lol. On the road up from Burlnley there are a good range of shops, post office, takeaways etc.
Marilyn and Ian are your hosts and are very friendly and give you a warm welcome. There is an electric gate which you need a fob to open and this is supplied for a small deposit.
Altogether a very nice place to stay and visit the attractive area around and about.

I could not agree more with the two comments already listed Having just spent a weekend at the site the owners could not have been more helpful despite us getting lost on the way(my bad navigational skills)Very quiet and certainly peaceful and spotless a credit to the owners. Many facilities close at hand Nelson, Burnley etc yet the surroundings were country. Two pubs very close at hand but not visited Took time to visit Gordon Riggs garden Centre and Grandma Pollard's fish and chips outstanding and only 20 mins away

We have just spent 2 nights at this site, there was 6 of us in 2 Tourers, and 1 Motorhome.
When we arrived on Friday the Weather was really bad with rain. Ian the Owner told us where to Pitch and left us to it.
The Site is lovely, and the Pitches were Service Pitches. There is a room at the side of the house that has a Toilet, Sink with plenty of hot water.
The Owners are lovely and have time to chat to you. The field will hold about 7 Vehicles whether Vans or Motorhomes.
On our last morning we decided to call to a Farm up the hill for some Free Range Eggs. Because of all the bad weather we got stuck in mud and the dogs were pretty muddy too. But the Views are Wonderful. The farm only had 12 eggs but for £1 for 6 what a bargain.
There are two pubs in walking distance, the Sun Inn, and the Hare and Hounds. We only went in the Hare and Hounds just for a drink.
Ian let us stay later than usual and did not rush us off the site.
For £12 per night, with e/h and £25 deposit for the Electric Gate its a fab site and we all will be back soon. The Town of Colne is not far away by car where there are many shops.

This is a good CL, in the countryside but near the towns for all necessaries. Nelson is the nearest and has a Morrisons supermarket. To find the site, exit at J12 of the M65, turn right from the slip road, left onto the A682, right at the traffic lights into Lomshaye Road, right to Hibson Road, left into Halifax Road immediately past the school, straight on at the cross roads by the pub, after 1/4 mile turn left for the site.
There is a security gate for which a £25 deposit is required.
The owners are friendly and will tow you onto a pitch as manoeuvring is a bit awkward. Don't drive on the grass as it is not well drained.
The site is sheltered but Sky tv is easy enough to find. Good recycling facilities. There is a toilet, sink and wash basin available for use.
There are some lovely places to see, such as Wycoller and the surrounding area, Pendle Hill and the witches' story.
Take a drive over to Todmorden and then Hebden Bridge and return to Burnley on the Long Causeway. There is a small but interesting museum at Barrowfield.
There are 2 pubs at the crossroads just up the road, turn left here for the local shops.
Price is £10 per night which we thought very fair.
