 Perfect stopover for visiting both Fussen and Neuschwanstein castle. Very easy to use - you get a parking place, pop over the road to the gym and pay.
Staff very helpful - we were given a map with distance to Fussen - 2 km - easy flat walk or right by a bus stop - we were given a card for free bus pass for our duration.
Supermarkets very close proximity. We cycled into see Neuschwanstein castle - very pretty.
All facilities on site very good - even a couple of showers (50 cents) - thoroughly recommend this site.

Site was very well managed, all facilities were in excellent condition and very clean.
The location is very good for visiting Fussen and the surrounding area,
Supermarkets on the doorstep.

This was our third visit to this very well organised camper park.
It is located near the town in a retail area. It makes a good base for visiting the Alps and the famous castles nearby.
Facilities all modern and well maintained.
Fussen is a lovely town - well worth a visit!

To Find Camperstop:- Leave A7 motorway and take road 310 towards the Foggensee. At T junction turn right and at the first roundabout take first exit. Take second left into Abt-Hafner Strasse and continue to roundabout and the Camperstop is on the left.
As a relatively new motorhomer this was our first experience of this type of place to stay. Basically its a car park on a gravel surface for motorhomes so everyone is cheek by jowl although each space is clearly marked by old railway sleepers some park in the centre some to the side. The obvious advantage of this Camper Stop is the closeness to Fussen and the availability of shops in the immediate vicinity. It has many advantages of a campsite like a good toilet/shower block, although limited in numbers given the number of motorhomes at any one time. There is also a small restaurant/bar.
The form when you arrive is to find a place and present yourself at reception at 6. 00pm to pay. Whilst the headline price is a very reasonable 13 the extras add quite considerably to the cost of a stay if you make use of them. Electricity to my mind is extortionately expensive at 1 for 1. 4KW. All very well if you have enough gas but if you rely on a good electrical connection it proves to be expensive, we used 10 worth during our two night stay many due to the cold and wet weather conditions! Likewise water supply is charged when filling on-board tanks although there is a tap to fill containers in the small washing up area for which there is no charge. I can understand these charges as people are free to come on site to make use of facilities without check. This Camper Stop has an overflow section a short distance away. As a bonus WiFi is free.
In better weather this would be a superb location to explore both the Lake and the town of Fussen with its public transport links to the likes of Neuschwanstein and Hohenschangau. For shopping there is a Lidl and Aldi within walking distance as well as a large OBI DIY shop

Spent two nights at this excellent facility. 2nd visit to this lovely place.
Location
Situated on a small retail park on the outskirts of towns, this Stellplatz makes an excellent base for visiting Fussen and the nearby castles and mountain scenery. The town is excellent with great eating, shopping and drinking.
Facilities
Modern and spotlessly clean and tidy facilities. The shower block was modern and there were plenty showers. There's a small bar and decent shop on site.
Value for Money
8 + costs for water, EHU and showers.
Highly recommended!

Location:
This site is in a brilliant location, about 10 minutes walk from Fussen centre. The area has excellent opportunities for watersports outdoot activities such as climbing and cycling.
Fussen is a lovely town, with great bars, restaurants and good shops. Great town surrounded by the Alps. Based in a retail park adjacent to Aldi and Lidl.
Facilities:
There's a handful of showers and toilets, all of which are spotlessly clean. This is not a conventional site - more a stopover place, but we stayed for four days as it's a great base. T
here's a bar/restaurant on site, lots of electric and water points and staff speak excellent English.
Costs:
About 13 euros per night for motorhome + 2 adults. It's really cheap, but to make up for this there are small charges for services such as showers, water and EHU. Great site; great value.
