We have stayed at this site 2 times now, it is in a lovely spot with the river running by it.
It was looking a bit rundown before but there are new owners this year and they are starting to tidy it up again. Very little English spoken but we had great fun talking to each other :)
Clecy is a small village, worth walking up the hill to it, with some lovely restaurants near the river.
Great walks nearby in the hills and along old railway tracks.
Site accepts ACSI, we paid 20 Euros

Would recommend this site due to its location right next to a river and being in a scenic area with limestone cliffs.
The site has friendly owners and the epicerie is well stocked.
The pitch we were on felt wedged in between two chalets and we had to be careful not to block the views of the review from one of the chalets which put us off slightly.
The toilet block and showers are a bit old looking and you need to remember to take your own toilet roll when going to the loo.
Highlight is walking around the local area and to the restaurants on the other side of the river where you can have dinner. Takes around fifteen minutes to walk there, or, a little longer if you go via the old railway viaduct.

It was late August and we assumed we would not need a booking - luckily we got what must have been the last pitch. Lesson - phone before arriving! Finding the site is fine until the last few hundred metres - don't miss the left turn over the bridge at the bottom of the hill from Clecy.
Site facilities are a mixed bag - the old sanitary block is a bit grotty, but the newer one is fine. Water points are few and far between - depending on your pitch you may have a long uphill haul. As is usual on French sites, disposal of grey water is tricky - we opted for the hedge method. A new reception/restaurant block is under construction for 2017.
As others have reported, there is lots of opportunity for outdoor activities in the area, with varying degrees of fear factor. Unfortunately there was a climbing accident on the cliffs behind the site while we were there - I was very impressed by the efficiency of the French rescue services in getting the victim down to the ground. There is a parapenting school based on the site, and the take-off sites are only a few minutes away. Activities on the river are less adrenaline fuelled, and more appropriate for children. (On-site play facilities seemed pretty good too). Most of the canoe bases are on the far side of the river, which on the busy weekend we were there had a bit of a 'Blackpool' atmosphere.
The site is only about 45 minutes from Ouistreham for the ferry, so makes for an ideal first or last stop on your trip. Try it - you may be surprised at the scenery in Suisse Normande!

This is an excellent site on the banks of the river, on the outskirts of the lovely town of Clecy. This is the capital of the Suisse Normande
Region and an excellent base for hikes and great canoe trips down the Orne. Lots of lovely places to eat by the river, as well as a Via Ferrata a huge zip-wire!
Facilities on site were excellent - clean and modern facilities and large sheltered pitches.
Good value at €24 per night for a motorhome with EHU.

The site is in Swiss Normandy, situated right on the banks of the Orne. It is a paradise for people on activity holidays. The campsite rented out canoes and directly opposite on the other bank of the river were many cafes/bars which rented out canoes, kayak, pedalos etc. Just up the road was a dedicated centre for canoeing and rock climbing. On the cliffs above the site was paragliding and hang gliding. Walks galore on the hills and into Clecy
The site is quite compact and not really small child friendly for nervous parents. Free wifi, a small bar/shop on site, 10 amp electrics and a young, extremely pleasant owner. The downside was the sanitary block ( the one still open late in the season) which was woefully inadequate even though there was hot water.
There is a large supermarket at Thury-Harcourt, about 5 miles away. In the local town (Clecy) there is a good bakers and a small mini market.
I would unhesitatingly recommend the site, providing you had your own sanitary facilities
