A lovely caravan club CL, very large pitches on beautifully kept grass. The owners were very welcoming and we were soon pitched for our stay of almost two weeks. Site facilities are minimal, electric hook up, water taps, chemical toilet disposal point and various bins for the rubbish and recycling. The bonus was that the owners have supplied TV reception at the pitches, they even supply the long cable required.
We stayed on pitch 4 at the bottom of the site overlooking a stream and small woodland. Almost every evening we were treated to the spectacle of what we believe was a barn owl flying low along the stream and right past our caravan windows. It became one of the evening highlights!
The site can be quite noisy in the early mornings with the very lively bird chorus, truly delightful. Dogs are permitted on site but groundsheets are not, one reason I only gave 9 stars.
Both on this website and in the club directory it is stated that breathable groundsheets are permitted. There was a small sign by the bins stating no groundsheets, I checked with the owner and he confirmed this. He did agree to us putting our groundsheet down at night after seeing it, but we felt a little awkward about it and so did not use it, even after an overnight downpour which left the ground inside the awning quite wet.
There is a small waste bin for doggie do do's next to the chemical disposal point, we overlooked this and put the waste in the main bin which prompted a visit from the owner to make us aware, perhaps a small leaflet with these basic rules would ensure there are no misunderstandings.
The site is situated down a quiet lane, lovely to walk along during the evenings. Close by is Bacton woods and a beach within about a mile. Further afield is a beach cad glued cart gap, dog friendly all year round and very nice it is too. There is a small shop just over a mile away, post office and chippy too! North Walsham has a Sainsburys, there is also a Tesco at Stalham. The perfect place to relax, even mobile phone reception was happily poor ensuring not too many calls. We will happily return to Commonwood.

It's a pleasure to revisit this beautiful and peaceful site. It's the kind of place you don't want to leave and can't wait to return to.
The owners couldn't be more helpful and always give a warm welcome. The site offers very generous pitches which provides a feeling of privacy and the surrounding area is as equally peaceful and scenic as the site.
Short hop to the sea front, good fish and chips and the choice of a couple of pubs.
Very central for all things North Norfolk and Broadlands so this makes a wonderful base for a terrific holiday.
Can't wait to visit again.

We couldn't wait for this beautiful site to reopen after the winter and headed straight there for a much needed bit of peace and quiet! As in my last review it is a very beautiful site and set in such lovely, well kept surroundings in a peaceful part of Norfolk. As always we received a very warm welcome from Gerry (the owner) and his wife. Gerry has been hard at work on the site gardening and it looked beautiful at this time of year with the daffodils and Magnolia blossoms. We enjoyed our stay very much and are looking forward to going back soon, especially as Gerry is planning to install Wi-Fi so having internet access will be a real plus along with the excellent TV reception!

Every now and again you come across a real gem of a site and just want to keep going back! This is just that type of site for us, (and others we have spoken to whilst there). We have just got back from our third stay this year and spent a week this time at this beautifully landscaped tranquil site. The site is run by a most friendly, helpful couple and sits in a very quiet part of the Norfolk countryside. A short walk/cycle/drive up the lane brings you to Walcott seafront where there is a most beautiful sandy beach which is not spoilt by too many tourists. You can take a stroll along the beach or have lunch at The Poachers Inn, where they serve excellent food and drinks and the atmosphere is friendly. There is also a cafe which is slightly on the expensive side, so best to head just down the road towards Bacton where there is another small homely cafe where you get real good quality food at very reasonable prices! You are within a short drive/bus ride to North Walsham, Cromer, Great Yarmouth and also close to the Broads as well so there is plenty to see and do in the surrounding areas. The site is beautifully kept and with 5 well spaced out pitches you have perfect peace and quiet. As with a lot of CL sites there are no toilet/shower blocks, but each pitch does have its own aerial connection point, and leads are supplied at no extra charge so the TV reception is excellent! So if you are looking for peace and quiet this is definitely a site worth visiting!

This really is a little gem. A beautifully kept CL in an extension to the owners garden. It is a credit to them.
All pitches are of a reasonable size and it is a delight to have the privileged of putting your 'legs down' and 'feet up' here.
Lovely Walcot Beach only minutes away and Bacton Woods on the doorstep. Ideal for dog owners.
A short ride away is Cart Gap a wonderful beach where they allow dogs on. North Walsham is nearby with a Sainsburys and market on a Thursday. Broads are within easy reach.
So many lovely places to visit we would never tire of this area. The owners of this CL are really lovely people and make you so welcome.
