Please note we have been advised that this site has closed, and no longer offers camping, motorhome or caravanning pitches, although the fishery itself is still open. If you know that this situation has changed in the future, please could you let us know. Many thanks

What a lovely setting for a cl site. A fisherman dream with trout lochs less than 50 yards away.
Pitches are all hard standing and level.
Pitch fees are a bit expensive with metered electric hook up and no shower or toilet facilities.
But this more than made up for by the beautiful surroundings.
Will definitely be back next time i am in area

Stayed here for 4 nights in November 2013.
Site is easy to find and well signed off the main A96, look out for the Brown Signs.
Site has level hard standing pitches which are about the width of a caravan so awning etc would be on the grass.
On arrival our pitch was already allocated and was marked with a traffic cone with our name on it.
All pitches had EHU which was 16 amp, it is metered so like us we had the heating on low when not there it can add up quick! We paid about £5. 00 per day for electric and the pitch is £15. 00.
I am not certain of the price per unit but this was my only concern about metered electric on sites as you can get a large bill on departure!
There is a waste point for toilet disposal and rubbish bins and drinking water on the field. You also have access to an outside toilet in the fisherman's lodge which is about 150 yards from the campsite.
This site is obviously geared for fishing as it has several lochs with trout etc in. However we do not fish but enjoyed the walk round on the frosty mornings we were there.
Stayed here as it is open all year and near to relatives in Huntley. It can get windy and there are snow poles on the A96 so I guess it can get a lot of snow!
Overall a great place, peaceful almost to extent it's silent. If you like star gazing its fantastic.
The owner is friendly and helpful and often to be seen on his quad bike if you need any help.
Nearest supermarket (Asda) and town would be in Huntly about 15 Minutes by Car.

A lovely wee site just yards from the fishing lochs.
Water and hookup, toilets at the fishing shop, on hardstanding and two nights of peace and quiet cost us only £21!
Keep an eye on the kids as there is water nearby but the name of the site will give you a clue! Bait pond and rod hire for the young ones, and the old, and lots of advice from Charlie if you need it.
Great value and a smashing spot for anglers and non anglers alike.
We'll be back Charlie!

We have visited this site many times and always enjoy our stay. Facilities are basically just water and waste disposal, all pitches are hard standing on level ground.
The site is also a trout Fishery, and it's this which makes the campsite so special and attractive. The pitches are situated in an area overlooking the lochs which are stocked with trout.
We enjoy strolls round the lochs, or sitting at the picnic tables or benches watching the people fishing. The shop sells fishing gear and hires out rods and equipment to those who wish to spend a day fishing.
The thrill of catching your own fish is a pastime not to be missed, and while you are waiting for that elusive fish to bite, the shop also has a cafe serving coffee, tea and bacon rolls, etc, with friendly helpful staff.
We always enjoy a few days here and are able to visit at any time of the year, as the site is open all year.
