Site is mainly used by Dutch as it's in the ACSI scheme. It's very handy for those travelling to or from the Netherlands being situated not far from the A61 and conveniently placed for visits to Rudesheim and Bingen. The proprietors (Dutch themselves) have set their stall out for passing trade and as such most one nighters are asked to park on pitches that are long strips so that outfits are easy to exit in the morning. There are a few pitches near the river Nahe that will allow you to stay for however long you wish. The site slopes slightly but you can find a flat area to pitch. There are a few space set out for tents at the front of these pitches as well, but not all pitches have them. The showers are clean if a little dated but perfectly acceptable. There is also a restaurant on site. The menu is not extensive but seemed well used mostly by the one nighters. The site is surrounded by trees as is the immediate area and the village is small so any shopping has to be done in nearby towns, about 5 miles away. We stayed for 3 nights and found that sufficient before moving on. Would stop again if en route somewhere and passing.
Used this campsite for a one night stopover and were allocated to a convenient drive on/drive off pitch. Although not full when we were there we had the impression that pitches would be quite cramped during busy periods. The campsite although quiet does have a main road running past which is busy during mornings/early evening. Sanitary facilities nice and clean. The bistro was not open the night we stayed.
Would not hesitate to stay again for a short stop but would probably look elsewhere for a longer stay.
