We had a very pleasant stay here. The location suited us well, being fairly central to exploring the island.
There is a frequent bus service along the adjoining main road to Newport or E Cowes or Ryde. From Newport there are buses to just about anywhere on the island.
We were at the back of the site and heard very little road noise. There is a pleasant bar and restaurant at the marina about half a mile away. The site is basic, just water and hook up, but nicely kept.
Unusually, it has a double row of red pillar boxes, plus other postal memorabilia!
There are also red squirrels to be seen on the site!

Loved the site. A fairly level field with electric hookups. A most intriguing collection post boxes adds interest.
The gentlemen who runs it is really friendly and helpful.
A short walk brings you to a marina with restaurant and bar, they looked good but we didn't try them.

This was a real find. Lovely site, level, well maintained. Tree lined for shelter. Great for touring caravans with electric hook up available. The owners are really friendly and helpful. The location of the site is superb, only a short walk across the lane to the Medina river and marina complex, short (ten minute) cycle ride into Newport. Short drive to Cowes (Osbourne House, etc) Nearby leisure centre with pool and fitness classes.
There is also a lovely walk, starting from the entrance lane along the old railway line to Wooten Creek.
Definitely recommend the site and one we will be visiting again and again.
Make sure you ask for a visit to Arthurs museum, a lifetime passion and collection of post boxes and memorabilia, brilliant!

Although we didn't stay at the site, we called in to look at the post boxes - they are amazing in themselves!
The owner was a very friendly man who was willing to answer all our questions. He was very friendly to my 5 year old daughter too.
Unfortunately there isn't a toilet or shower block, but if you have your own facilities this shouldn't be a problem.
I usually spend the summer on the Isle of Wight and I am seriously considering changing my campsite to Last Post.
The site is close to the Islands main town, Newport and close to major bus routes.
