We stayed here in our folding camper as a convenient stopover en route to Caen. Spacious level pitches and clean sanitary facilities.
Site run by a friendly couple - very helpful. A short walk into Villedieu where there are bars and restaurants, bakers and a small express type supermarket.
Interesting small town to walk around with historic buildings and the copper pans, for which they are famed. Site has a bar and serves food.
Outdoor heated swimming pool also available. Quiet at night - mainly used for short stops and french campers.
Would definitely stay again.

What a lovely site.
As a former municipal site it is very close to the centre of the town. The access feels a bit weird in as much as it is approached through the car park/market square but a quick check on "Google street view" before we visited showed the way and the signage is quite clear. It may be a good idea not to arrive on Tuesday which is market day.
The pitches are a good size, separated by hedges. There was quite a high kerb to get up, we ended up helping the mover with a thin block of wood.
The facilities, as previously stated, are good but it must be stated that the showers in the second block are quite narrow.
The town, which is an easy walk from the site is charming with a good assortment of shops and restaurants & bars.
If we are in the area again we will definitely use this site again

2016 update: Stayed here for two nights en-route to Cherbourg. A splendid site, continuing to improve under its new owners who took over in the spring, giving us a warm welcome.
Large pitches, separated by neatly trimmed hedges, still with well-maintained grass near to end of season. Plenty of power (10amp) and water points distributed around the pitches, ours were at front and rear corners respectively.
Shower block near reception area is modern, immaculate and heated, very clean with plenty of hot water. An automatic door keeps the heat in on chilly mornings. A second, older block further into the site has been closed for refurbishment, presumably in time for next season, though it still houses the chemical WC point.
The heated outdoor pool was still open one week from end of season, the water kept sparkling clean.
Very nice bar/cafe area, with free wifi zone. Menu was limited to pizzas, but this may reflect late season.
Villedieu les Poeles is lovely historic town, within easy walking distance. Best known for the manufacture of copper cookware and its bell foundry, both open for visits, it also has plenty of shops, restaurants and a weekly Tuesday market.
An excellent site, great value at €17 with ACSI card, we are happy to recommend and will return.

We have stayed here over a number of years on route to or from the Vendee. Yes it is ex-municipal and we were happy to stay when it was (unlike a couple of others we tried). The facilities have improved since being taken over by Flower Camping.
There is a pool and a kids play area both of which can be monitored from the bar! I have rated this due to the obvious nature of these facilities.
The food is good, the staff friendly. We were a little concerned due to being in an area of the site with a large group of teenagers of both sexes. Everyone settled down and was quiet by 10pm! I asked the following day and it turns out they were from a community facility.
The facilities were clean - dealt with twice daily.
The location, close to the town has always been a plus.

We stayed on this lovely campsite for 3 days. We were on our way to Upper Normandy from the Vendee. The site is wonderful. All the pitches are flat with easy access.
The facilities include a nice swimming pool, bar area, children's playground and very clean shower/toilet facility. This shower/toilet facility is heated at night with a closed automatic entry door. The staff were great and the local town is quaint.
We visited Mont St Michel and Ste Mere Eglise while we were there. Highly recommended.

We visited this site on our way back to Cherbourg ferry.
As a former municipal site it's location is right next to the town which is an interesting little place with all the local facilities you need.
We liked this quiet small site.
Pool simple but pleasant.
Had a fab meal in the site cafe.
Lovely kids playground with trampoline and bouncy castle.
Very much no frills but good simple facilities.
Great for overnight stops to /from ferry or I guess you could use as a base to explore Normandy.
Would recommend.
