Stayed here with our caravan for 4 nights in July. Firstly, access with a 7m caravan is possible but worthy of note it is tight, but worth the effort to have a pitch on the field at the rear of the main site and with its own entrance. The peace and quiet was wonderful (until the schools broke up. But we were on our way home by then) a very rustic site, however the toilet/shower facilities were nearly new and spotless. For those with tents there are some fantastic pitches deep in the woods, as close to wild camping as you will find round here.

Run by a really friendly Dutch couple and their team, who, as well as camping offer evening meals in the restaurant and a friendly bar by the lovely pool area.

Great site and if you have kids I'm sure they will love the freedom and woods.

Great walks from the site, especially like us you have a dog, the town is only 2 kms downhill, best to use the car. Overall would return out of season, but like a lot of sites in summer there are lots of kids.

We found this site in the ACSI book and used it for an overnighter on the way south. We picked up the campsite signs easily at the roundabout in Les Eyzies. After a short distance the signs led us on to a narrow road sloping upwards. As we progressed following the signs the road became narrow and steeper and wound its way round and up through overhanging trees. We just couldn't believe that there was a campsite suitable for caravans up this hill. Well eventually - after gritting teeth fearing for the caravan's sides and roof on the trees, and hoping that nothing came from the other direction - we arrived at the site perched high and set in woodland.

All in all a very pleasant site Dutch owned with mainly Dutch clientle mainly with caravans and most bigger than ours. I presume they all got up without mishap and most seemed set for a long stay - caravan awning and gazebo, for two people.

Pitches are a good size some are extra large. There is a small pool and the toilet/shower facilities are very good, clean and well maintained. There's also a bar with Snackbar/restaurant. The major drawback for me is the location.
