 Visited this site on recommendation of cllr_gyppo – previous reviewer.
We had provisionally pre booked this site for 3 days – but advised the owners by email that we could not confirm as we had problem with our van and could not guarantee arrival. Had very pleasant reply hoping we could still make it etc.
When we arrived (a day later than planned) we were made most welcome – and given the pitch we had been previously allocated. The site was not completely full but still quite busy. The pitch (number 57) was right by the river/stream that runs through the site and very convenient for the toilet/shower block.
The facilities were all clean, and well managed, and always available with no queuing. It appeared to be a very child friendly site – with lots to keep them occupied.
We used the site to visit places of interest in Luxembourg – Luxembourg City itself and Clervaux in particular. Travelling throughout Luxembourg by train is remarkably cheap- 4 Euros gets you anywhere (and back several times!) in any 24 hour period. For 2 Euros you get 2 hours of travel. The train station at Kautenbach is a 30 minute walk from the camp site – but there is a free car park adjacent to the station - (follow signs to P & R – main car park is often full, but P & R park was virtually empty). You can get tickets from reception – at which point I should add that the lady in reception (Bianca?) was really most helpful throughout our stay.
We did make use of the bar at the site which was very comfortable – on our last night we had an excellent meal there (think Bianca did the cooking).
Would definitely recommend the site to anyone and would return if travelling in the area. Worth pointing out by the way that if you are travelling further afield it is well worth driving through Luxembourg – good roads, great scenery – and diesel was only 1. 23 Euros per litre – much cheaper than anywhere else!

This site was chosen as simply a stop over before continuing to Lugano, Switzerland.
We ended up staying longer than we planned, and used it as a base to visit Luxembourg city, and other near by villages.
The site consisted of well maintained Statics, as well as touring caravans, motor homes and tents. All Pitches were flat, with EHU, our pitch was on the banks of the River Clerve.
The Washing up area, Toilet and shower blocks were always clean and there was sufficient available, when ever we required to use them.
The Site had a well Stocked shop, Bar and Restaurant. Of which we we used only the bar, which was a pleasant place to have a drink, either in the bar, or on the balcony overlooking the rest of the site.
Entertainment seemed to be provided for the Children in the afternoon, whether that was everyday, or just on the weekends (when we were there)It was very child friendly, with a play area, or simply paddling about in the gentle flowing river. In the Bar in the evenings they also had entertainment, during our visits there is karioke and Bingo. My wife was the only English person playing, but they did call the numbers out in English just for her. She even won a Prize !
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and gave us plenty of suggestions of where to visit and things to do in the area, and when it came to leaving they printed a map / Route for us showing the way to Lugano.
We will be definitely be going back this year. We Used our ACSI card and it cost us 15 Euro a night.
