Stayed over bonfire night, were assured there would be no fireworks as they had 20 horses, we have 2 terrified dogs.
Also hardstanding. No hardstanding at all had to park on roadway and buy extention cables for EHU.
Fireworks everywhere, horrendous, even in properties next door and lodges. No one around, others on site also with dogs.
No toilet, shower but we're advised of this. Consider price very high for little facilities. Overall score 3

A lovely location near many walking and cycling routes.
The views are not much from the pitches due to the welcome shelter of the trees but a simple stroll round them, down towards all the horse fields are superb.
Sites shower and toilets were closed but I would say that they are likely to be kept well clean.
The actual field for vans is small and with 10 pitches, if all were occupied it would be too cramped.
£20 a night is feesable inc elec, but £7. 50 for an awning per stay?

The previous reviewer has given an excellent description of this flat grassy site and I agree with all the comments. I would add that fishing is included in the cost of your camping. Not being a fisherman I didn't try the lake so can't comment on how well stocked it is.
The site owners Mike and Rod are very friendly and came round to give me a bit of information on local eating places and places of interest etc. They are very keen that the site should be a pleasure to visit and will do what they can to make your stay enjoyable.
The nearest shops are in Waltham which is about 3 miles from the site where there is a good range of shops, pubs and food outlets catering for all your regular needs.
A real plus is there is very little light pollution on the site itself so is quite good for star gazing as long as you are facing away from the holiday cottages on the other side of the lake.
This is one of those sites which when you leave you're already planning your next visit. It's certainly one I will be visiting again.

A lovely well drained site with open views over the Humber Estuary in the distance. The camping field, which overlooks one of the lakes, has trees and hedges for shelter from the wind, but still has open areas if you prefer a pitch with a view. There are plenty of electric hook up points spread around the camping field. The toilet and shower blocks are very clean and warm with plenty of free hot water. The site entrance is off the A18, so a fair bit of passing traffic, but the camping field is set back from the road, and I didn't hear any traffic during the night. Beware, the fishing lakes are unfenced if you have young children with you.
There are fishing lakes and horse riding for those with these interests.
Nearby attractions include Grimsby and Cleethorpes, Waltham Windmill and the Lincolnshire Wolds Railway. Lots of walking to be done in the beautiful Lincolnshire Wolds with footpaths and bridleways starting close by the campsite.
I only stayed one night on the way home from a holiday further down the East Coast, so am looking forward to going back for a longer stay this year.
