This site is on the edge of the historic town of Brielle alongside the marina (5mins cycle -10mins walk into the town centre). The site has a lot of static units but the touring pitches (ACSI) are tucked out of the way. We have visited the site twice in June and September so we can't comment on how busy it gets during school holidays. The facilities are fine with all the usual amenities including wi-fi (fee payable). Bread is available from reception in the morning. There was a café/snack bar/ kids club near the lake but they were closed when we were there so you need to check the opening times if these are important to you.
The area is linked by a brilliant network of traffic protected or traffic free cycle routes which are absolutely fabulous when compared with the traffic choked, pot-hole ridden roads in the UK. There are numerous maps and guides available for the cycle routes in reception. Finding your way is easy via numbered junctions/signposts. There are some excellent fiets planners available on line.
Two supermarkets are within 5 minutes cycle from the site. Go out of the site around the green barrier directly onto the cycle path near the touring pitches and go up the hill. Albert Heijn is about 400m on the left and Jumbo is across the road. There are lots of shops and cafes etc. In the town centre too.
You can reach the site from the Hook of Holland via the Maassluis Rozenburg ferry which saves a longer drive via Rotterdam.
All in all this site is excellent if you want to explore the area by bike. It was very quiet at night out of season. I am guessing that it might be more lively during the school holidays!.
The FietsPlus cycle shop in the residential area of town has spares, accessories and a repair department. The staff are very helpful and speak English.
Thank you. Even though we arrived early you excepted us with personal attitude and a smile welcome which was great the position hard standing.
We had a great time the site was great with all the freedom of a great break located location was great for Amsterdam and Rotterdam. The assistance you gave us on arrival, the help with your little tractor, the welcome coffee was also great, we will be back.
