Lovely and quiet site, great views over Stocksbridge and Sheffield. Its quite high up, so be prepared for a breeze, but we will use this site again. This site is dog friendly, but be aware it is a working farm, there were sheep in the next field.
Close to Langsett which has a great pub, with good food, lovely walks around the reservoir and Stocksbridge is only a couple of miles down the road where you can access supermarkets, cafe's pubs etc.
In the opposite direction is Penistone, a lovely town to visit too, again only a couple of miles away. Of course the 'local' pub to this site is the Flouch Inn which is also a Balti house and comes recommended.
As for facilities, there was one outside toilet and one outside tap, you can request electric hook up, but you have to park close enough to connect to the outbuildings. This site is basic but that suits us perfectly.
