Nice site, great location quite local to us loved it, thought we would be using it regular,
Easy access to village quiet site, nice pub good prices.
BUT. Fishing overpriced went to fish at 18:00 hrs within minuits got charged full day ticket fee by baliff told no evening tickets, only very average fishing, nothing special disappointed but not the end of the world just not fish here again.
Worse still, as we loved site so much decided to rebook for another weekend 2 nights with 2 family motorhomes told only accept full weekend bookings 3 nights in school hols. Cant do that as we all work, not impressed with this it seams our money is not good enough in school hols.
Will not use or recommend this site again on this principle they are just making money and don't care how. Sorry for negative review but its honest and constructive criticism.

Easy walk to Southwell Minster and workhouse museum. Follow the Southwell trail which is an old railway line or follow the footpath along the river Greet.
There are 30 hardstanding pitches, but the gravel is less than 3m wide except on one pitch. There are also grass pitches available. The ground was a bit soft and muddy on our visit.
However only 2 shower/toilet rooms and one toilet. Not heated when we stayed and basic. Ehu available, 1 Elsan point with a tap. One fresh water tap for the whole site.
Cake shop/cafe on site. Fishing is available in a lake.
The cost of a pitch is £25 pn which I feel is overpriced for the facilities available compared to other sites.

Beautiful site in lovely surroundings. Great pub near by (the final whistle). Reasonably priced. No showers or toilets, but if you've got your own, that doesn't matter :-) We'll definitely be returning. We have two small children, so had to be very vigilant because the site is surrounded by water, but other than that, a great little site.

Absolutely gem of a site. Peaceful, good price and central to Southwell. Basic site with hook up £15 a night.
Very spooky as we booked the same weekend as last year, lady who owns the site is so lovely, friendly and helpful.
Just a few yards out of site is a footpath which takes you into Southwell, but if you like a lovely quirky pub with real ales and cider the final whistle is a great stop for a tipple.
Enjoyed it so much going to run a rally with the Yorkshire puddings next year

On the positive side, this CS is conveniently situated for Southwell, which is a 20 minute walk away - or you can cycle straight there along a disused railway line (Southwell Trail) that passes the site. The Robin Hood Way also passes the site. It's next to a former water mill that has been converted into residences, and fishing is available in two small lakes. The River Greet runs next to the site. However if you were expecting a peaceful site with a maximum of 5 units, you would be disappointed. On our visit there were upwards of 20 caravans, tents and motorhomes. Facilities were electric hookup, water, toilet waste disposal and a few wheelie bins. Much of the site, although level, can become very wet, so that motorhomes could easily become bogged down if it's been raining. Real ale aficionados will appreciate the excellent Final Whistle, at the Southwell end of the Southwell Trail. In Southwell, don't miss the minster and the NT owned former workhouse.
