Easy to book via email. Quiet secluded location though lots of holes on the access track.
Grass area was very soft so we and other units parked on the edge of the track.
Separate male and female toilets but no sign of a shower as advertised.
I should have asked when booking but having read the other reviews I didn't think to.
Turns out the shower is only put into position when there is no further chance of frost - understandable but would be good to know in advance.
Thankfully the local leisure centre was willing to let us use theirs as we have no onboard facilities!

Stopped off at Lodge Farm on way back from short trip to Cumbria - lovely site and very well provided for despite lack of electricity.
Spent relaxing sunny afternoon at site - lunch and a sleep before walking to the pub in Spofforth for a light meal.
Facilities are great - loos, shower and washing up basin - all you need for a couple of days. Pity they were harvesting in the evening - a bit noisy - but they stopped at 10pm.
Would not hesitate to recommend this site - lovely and affordable.
NB - track to the camping area a bit bumpy!

What a great find, but like a lot of caravaners so used to having Electric nearly didn't give this site a chance, even though for many years never had electric, but glad we did.
Toilet blocks fantastic and very clean Grandson enjoyed the shower may not have been hot enough for me but was very clean and for those who can put up with warm water ideal.
The biggest asset for me is the fact it is not a square field and you can get yourself tucked into a corner and not having to lined up like soldiers and the owners are very nice and helpful which was good for me after driving past the field and required some help. Would say if this ever got electric it would be fully booked every week in my mind

We don't usually try to manage without an electric hook-up, but because this site was where we wanted to be and sounded nice, we risked it for two nights with our grandchildren, 10 and 12. It really is a lovely spot, bluebells still out, lots of ferns and a great habitat for birds. Obvious signs of badgers though we didn't go looking, deer and hares - rabbits of course.
The facilities are immaculate and we were very pleasantly surprised by the shower cabin having expected we would want to use our own (which means chucking the dog bed out of it). Being used to French sites where you mostly have to remember to take the toilet roll, this outfit was very well equipped.
It was great for dogwalking, pretty bridle way to Spofforth by the golf course, fishing on the next farm. We popped into Leeds in half an hour and Stockeld Park with its roller skating, go-carts and electric scooters was less than 10 minutes and the children loved it. We met family for tea at the Tiger Inn at Coneythorpe - very good. There is so much to see within easy distances from this charming site, with charming owner. Think we'll try to go again even though we live less than an hour away!
Incidentally the track in is fine, better than the approach to our son's house. The site is a bit slopy but with some borrowed blocks we easily levelled up.

We have a small camper van and have visited this site 4 times now which says it all really! It is on a farm and there is ample room for the small number of campers permitted.
There are 2 toilet cabins fully fitted out with soap, towel etc. There is even a torch! A shower unit has been recently installed. There are also washing up facilities with everything provided.
We usually visit when we are going to an event at The Yorkshire Showground but we always fit in a walk across the fields to Spofforth to see the ruined castle. This year we were lucky enough to see lots of newly born lambs and met up with the resident pheasant again!
There are a number of pubs fairly nearby which serve good food but they are not really within walking distance. ( at least not My walking distance)!
The owner is always very welcoming and keeps the facilities absolutely spotless. There are only 2 downsides. One is that there are no hook ups. The other is that the lane leading to the farm is rather bumpy! BUT at £10 a night who cares!

The wife and I and our dog stayed here for a weekend in August in a Motorhome. It is a C and CC site.
The site is on a real farm so there is loads of room. You can pitch wherever you like so the site has a real camping feel to it.
On arrival you drive to the Farmhouse where a friendly welcome awaits. The cost is £10 per night.
There are two newly built toilet blocks that are spotlessly clean. There is also a shower, CDP and water point. In the toilet blocks liquid soap, toilet rolls and a towels are provided. The toilet facilities really are pristine.
There is no hook up and the site is sloping, but we easily managed to level our motorhome without much effort. From our motorhome we saw Deer and Rabbits and I bet there was a lot more wildlife that we missed, but I’m no David Attenborough.
It’s about a half hour (or less) to the local village of Spofforth where we found a Pub and a local shop. There may be more there, we didn’t have much time. It was a pleasant walk along a footpath past the golf course.
Using sat nav to get here will send you slightly off course (I have a Tomtom with the latest maps) but the owner will explain this when booking. It’s no big deal and the site is easy to find.
It was a pleasure to stay here and we will certainly return.
