 The best part was the reception, very organised and helpful, after that rest was disappointing. Pitches difficult to access if the car is low and in the bottom area very dusty glad it didn't rain.
Toilet facilities terrible, sterling board walls in toilets unpainted and no hot water for washing dishes.
Used it to visit Cabo de St Vicente and Sagres Fort, fabulous walk around the fort, cliffs of 60 to 70 mts with people fishing from the top.

This campsite doesn't take bookings, they emailed me saying they always have space, but it was very full so it is pot luck getting a space in high season. We were lucky, there are no formal pitches, and it was full.
The site is about a mile from the sea, up a hill. Staff were polite and spoke English and facilities were clean.
There are two small pools, a bar/restaurant and a small shop.
This campsite wasn't our type, but we had an excursion from Portimao the next day so it served its purpose as somewhere to stop.
If you like a campsite where the children can play in the pool and you don't need to go anywhere else, this place is for you.
We didn't like it and I am therefore giving a neutral score, but this doesn't reflect what they provide really. We thought it a bit expensive too. From it's marketing I was expecting it to be by the beach or a short walk.

Very convenient campsite in walking distance to the town of Alvor. Large supermarket close by. First impressions were a little disappointing as the layout is very higgledy piggedly and the facilities quite dated. However everything worked and lovely pool & pleasant bar area/terrace. There is another campsite much nearer the beach and the same distance from the town but it is more an estacion servico Autocaravannes with just electricity and a water/elsan point though the low price reflects this. Wifi is woeful but fortunately there are a number of bars and restaurants in town with excellent free wifi.

Rather a strange site, very disjointed with statics, long term residents and tourers all vying for space. Finding a sunny pitch at this time of year is almost impossible, already taken by those spending the whole winter so no chance if you only want a week or so.
Very cheap, three plus nights will cost 10. 50 a night including electricity, wifi and all the usual services. Toilets and showers etc are clean with plenty of hot water. Washing machines for 5 euros per load. Electricity points are dotted around and are not always close enough to where you may want to set up. Water is pretty accessible but emptying your grey water means a trip to the entrance of the camping. Chemical disposal again dotted over the site.
An easy walk into town with a lot of drinking and eating places. Also a lovely stroll to the sea and small harbour.
All in all a value for money site that could do with a really good tidy up, roads swept, trees pruned etc to make it even nicer
