Good level pitches good facilities friendly and helpful warden to check you in.

Now the not so good points there were a couple of twin axle caravans with noisy children and they had taken over the clothes washing facilities I think with possibly about 6 months washing.

A good site spoiled by this.

Loved this site! Friendly warden to check me in.

Site has had a refurbishment recently.

Clean, fresh sanitary block. Good size pitches.

Positioned away from public area so feels peaceful even on busy bank holiday weekends.

Very tasty Chinese takeaway on site, and village just 5 minute walk.

Plenty of walks around marina and surrounding woodland. On main bus route to big town of Magherafelt.

Will definitely return.

We love Ballyronan my husband and I, granted it won't be everybody's Cup of tea but it is ours.

Only would miss going in May again, swarms and I mean swarms of May fly all the caravans were covered in them you couldn't see any white for black mayfly, but in saying that they soon shifted when we moved off, they didn't come inside which was a big blessing.

Has a good play park for kids but it is a little way from caravan park.

The lough is so close at hand, like a small, is small, beach.

A short walk to a bar if that's your cuppa.

Lovely cafe opposite it which is more my cuppa.

Really nice wee town and walkable.

I was told from council that its closed at present for renovations, have been on worse that wasn't on list for them and would need to be, couldn't really pinpoint what needs upgraded, but nice to see it anyway can only make for improvements.

The lady that sorted us out was extremely friendly and very helpful, they had a night on in the hall, at a small price entrance.

Always enjoy staying at ballyronan. 5 minute walk into small village which has everything you need. Great children's park. Small forest walk. Lovely marima. There are a loy of flies which can put people off so flyscreens needed. Well kept facilities.

I booked this site for three nights and paid £30 over the phone. I spoke to the lady who runs the site who gave me keys for the toilet block and gate. The following three nights were hell, as there were families in caravans with children, and the children did not go to bed until after midnight, They just rode around the site screaming and making lots of noise on their bikes. There were also dogs barking and whining. The 1st and 3rd morning there was no hot water in the shower block. There was never anyone around to speak to. This site is very small. It resembles a gipsy/travellers site. There is no one on site whatsoever in the evenings, so people can make as much noise till whatever hour of the night as they wish. I would never return here.

The site is in a lovely location with good views of Lough Neagh and lots of birds and other wildlife. Pitches are fine with good if slightly dated amenity block. The shower set up is a bit odd as the changing cubicles are separate from the shower cubicles. It wasn't obvious where to check in and there is a height restriction barrier with no one on sight to open it after about 8.30pm so you are stuck on site if you have a motorhome.

Chinese on site was closed when I was there. Village is 2 minutes walk and has a small supermarket, couple of pubs and a chip shop. I tried the chip shop, and had quite possibly the worst fish & chips ever!

The site is well positioned if as I did, you want a stopover point between the west and east of N. Ireland.

No real issues with this little gem. The ladies that run the site, do the cooking, cleaning, organising the large hall, can most times be found in the kitchen of the hall. They so reminded me of the ladies in the Wonga ad on tv.

The heated toilet and shower block is a good size I felt for the size of the site. It was lovely and warm and really clean.

There is a sluice round the back, and I used the drain to empty grey water as I didn't see any alternative. Plenty here for the kids and a half decent Chinese on site.

It is a pain getting in and out with the caravan attached, but it's only a couple of minutes. Only gripe, £5. 00 for EHU !

 Site:

Very nice small site close to marina; tourers are in a small circle that has picnic tables some pitches can just view the loch

Bit tricky trying to get in – press button to raise barrier and drive down to sea – do not go to where motor homes are parked. No actual reception just find someone in building next to ice cream kiosk. You will get a key to let you in to touring park and access to showers/loos

Facilities:

Excellent facilities and kept spotless

Multiple rubbish areas

Couldn’t find CDP - motorhome waste drain site ok

Out & About:

Lovely walk round Loch and marina

Chinese restaurant on site – didn’t use

Would definitely return if in area

Lovely wee site set in a circle of about 10 pitches, 4/5 of which are facing Lough Neagh, BBQ area and picnic tables in the small green area in the middle of the park.

Electric hook up only, grey water and freshwater only feet away though.

Toilet block is old and small but for the size of the area, its fine.

The view over the lough is fantastic, with a small forest you can also take a walk in, this is open to the public, but we had no issues with anybody or noise on the several occasions I've stayed here.

Park for the kids only a short walk away in front of the lough, Chinese also located here, sit in or take away.

Shops and pubs only 5 mins walk.

Great place for a short quiet break, never had an issue.
