An OK site in the countryside just outside horrible Rhyl. We only stayed here to explore the local area which is uninspiring.
Conveniently next to the retail park, don't turn into this when arriving, it's the next roundabout by the pub.
Rhuddlan is a nice little town and has a castle which appeared to be closed, but a nice walk by the river.
We thought that the whole coastal area lacked character, there are far better places in Wales, so now we have done it, we won't be going again.
The owner, when you see him, is a pleasant man; we were charged £13 per night which was fine.

This may be next to a retail park and a main road into Rhyl but the area we were in was quiet and overlooked a field with horses.
Clean facilities and a fairly flat pitch, considering it was all grass.
Rhyl seafront was approx 2 miles, we walked in along the main road but there is also a bus stop not far from the campsite.
Sainsburys, Pizza Hut, Iceland, Halfords, B&Q are all on the retail park next door. Lovely pub about a 5 minute walk away (towards Rhyl)

This site is an absolute gem! It is just outside Rhyl, yet still in the ‘middle of the countryside’. It is easy to find with good roads right to the entrance.
The site is a fairly square grassed field, so level that ramps are not needed. Each pitch has both a power outlet and a tap! Three sides of the site have fields full of cattle, the remaining has farm buildings. Both day and night we found the site to be very quiet.
The site is ideally located to explore Rhyl (Which was a bit of a run-down disappointment) and the surrounding countryside which is lovely. During one of our walks we stopped to watch sheep being sheared as the side of the track.
We will definitely be visiting again.
