 Where can I start? This is by far our favourite site we have stayed at. Even family and friends have started staying here. Can’t recommend enough! This is a basic site with no frills, but when you have been working all week and just need an escape & a rest this is deffo my place! Even my 9 & 5 year old love coming here as they can explore the outdoors (Great base).
The site owner Bill is fabulous, always been more than helpful with finding restaurants /days out / general chitchat. I 1st visited in July 2018 as a cheap weekend break but have since been back on numerous occasions.
Definitely worth a try is you are looking for a peaceful, non bank breaking break or a base to explore Blackpool/ morcambe/ cleverlys/ fleetwood then this is the place for!

Although we had a great time staying here there were a few issues for me which spoilt my time, these were the owner didn't seem to care about the welfare of his guests, he never asked me for my membership card, the toilets didn't have a working light and there wasn't any toilet tissue tiles were of the wall and lying on the floor, the rubbish didn't get moved.
The tarrif seemed to be very different for different people eg. 5 pounds for one caravan with electric (using an extension lead from the barn) and also 5 pounds for another caravan without electric, then for me in a motorhome it was 7 pounds per night, why?
There was a very undesirable person and his family at the top end of the field who seemed to intimidate the rest of the guests with his remarks and activities in the night.
I for one won't be going back there and told the owner this but he didn't seem to care

Whinmore Fold Farm is a basic certificated site (members only), it does have a toilet but there are no showers. This wasn't a problem for us. The camping area is a large level field which is sheltered on one side by a barn and hedging around the rest of the field. It's a short walk to the main road into Knott End on Sea but feels more remote, in the countryside and with very little road noise other than families cycling along the road at the side of the farm. The site owner also sells vegetables grown on the farm from a stall at the farm entrance.
You can walk into Knott End on Sea or there is a bus stop close to the site entrance. There are a good selection of pubs, restaurants, takeaways and shops in Preesall and Knott End. You can also catch the ferry into Fleetwood but check the sailing times so that you don't get stuck in Fleetwood by mistake!
We had a brilliant time at Whinmore Fold Farm and will return here when we are in the area again.
