 Gem of a site. We came to a meet with the CCC Southern region, for 3 nights. We stayed for 2 nights more. Lovely owners.

The only facilities are elson point and fresh water, hence the price of just £10. It was quite a walk from our pitch to use these. However if you have a disabled person with you, I’m sure you could book a closer pitch. We moved pitch for ease.

There is a hotel serving meals practically on the doorstep. Also a big garden centre across the road. Also serving meals, snacks and drinks.

For us it was the joy of a cycle track / footpath right outside the gate. 3. 5 miles into Canterbury and a further 8 to Whitstable. There is a bus stop close by and regular busses so another bonus to this lovely little peaceful site.

I notice a board saying B & B outside the house. This would be ideal if friends were to come along.

I’m certainly going to look into that as we have relatives near the site so we will return.

 This was a very basic clean site with drinking water and chemical disposal only but adequate for our stay.

On a slight hill but no problem. Plenty of space. Other campers quiet. A bit of ambient noise.

A few minutes drive to Park & Ride into Canterbury.
