Went to Les Grand Pins towards end of 2015 season.
It's a long drive from the western ports in one go ( including a 2. 5 hr delay for a puncture at St Malo) didn't get to site till 19. 00.
Nice good quality Yelloh group site, multi national clientele ( becoming more British after the19th August with Brits who'd been in Spain travelling back up).
Pitches variable in size, road a little tight making it difficult to get to some in caravan (especially if novice tower), ground as name suggests covered in pine mulch which when damp was a nightmare to stick to feet/shoes gets into awning and van, pine needles very sharp.
Good hookups but limited water, one tap for about 20 pitches
Toilet blocks good and clean, showers and washing cubicles very good, locked at night, all facilities unisex, sanitary facilities all on outside of blocks so open all night ( toilet paper provided but no seats)
Pools good with plenty of beds but could have done with an area for older kids to actually swim, there were 2 pools, one lazy river style, and one traditional that's adults only July-August
Good shop on site with most things at normal campsite prices ( small super you within 10 minutes walk), gas and barbecue rentals possible (no charcoal barbecues allowed)
Ok restaurant on site, Ok snack bar, good alcohol bar and great takeaway pizza shack - rating applies to quality and price.
Entertainment, they tried hard is the best I can say, in 4 languages and using half semi pro and half pool guards as the entertainers. ( very interesting magic show one night that strayed into 50 Shades of grey territory!)
Site about 15-20 mins from town that I wasn't that impressed with, looking a bit run down in some parts during day time, great market, due to personal circumstances didn't get up to town in evening and try the bars/restaurants but there was plenty.
Area great for cycling, lakes a nice change to sea ( 5 mins car-15 mins bike)
Beach about 10 mins from site direct access via. Card controlled gate, life guarded
Surf good but localised good breaks but very crowded ( but was there during the surf contest so not a real supprise)
