This was our second visit in a couple of months. The facilities are basic but we knew this before going so were prepared. The plus points outweigh these. Helpful, friendly staff; tea room and farm shop on site; railway station 10 mins walk with regular service to Manchester.
Comments we'd read about possible noise has not been an issue as the lorries load late afternoon, early evening and we never heard them leave in the morning.
Lots of good walks from the site.
We'll be going back.

Small, pleasant site set in an attractive area. Only one toilet and shower but not a problem as not many pitches.
The site was clean and well maintained and the owner was very polite and helpful.
We stayed here and caught the train into manchester for a show. A very good alternative to staying in the city. There was a cafe in the garden centre and a nice pub about 2 minutes away. The trans-pennine walking trail was nearby too.
We would recommend this site to anyone wanting a pleasant base to visit the Manchester or exploring and walking around the local area.

I used this site as a base to visit my Kids who live in Hyde. I found the staff the be very friendly and helpful. And gave both me and my Partner very easy access to the kids and facilities in the surrounding area. All of Manchester and Liverpool.
The good:-
The pitch itself was on well cared for ground, and is in a very pretty part of Manchester.
The site gives good access to public transport, and has a cafe on site in the garden centre that served really nice food.
The site has electric hook ups and Toilet and Shower, which I know was cleaned daily.
The Bad:-
Its nothing the site it's self can help but the trains on the broadbottom line Cause a fair bit of noise through the night and early mornings.
No Kids allowed, due to traffic from the garden centre which is fair enough as its not really designed for kids in mind.
All in all if you want to visit Manchester and see the sites this site is very ideal for you. And vastly reduces the cost of visiting the area.
This frees up a lot of money to actually do things.
I will be using again
