Check-in was easy, they let me use my French rather than practising their English on me which was nice. We could choose our own pitch so chose a nice shaded spot close to the sanitary facilities.
We were just before high season so the site was quite quiet and not all services were open but shops are only a five minute walk away and the beach another five minutes.
Sanitary facilities were clean, although it was our first experience of toilets without seats and you needed your own toilet paper. We used the washing machine and drier as it rained most of one of the days we were there so couldn't dry clothes otherwise.
We swam in the pool which was hardly used whilst we were there but may get crowded in high season. It was clean and reasonably warm.
Would probably stay again if in the area.

The site is clean and tidy and easy walk to La palmyre and the beautiful beach.
It had a chemical waste point but when we asked for fresh water to fill the tank and grey waste drain they looked blank. So need to arrive with full water and empty waste.
Toilets were the no loo seat and no toilet paper variety.
Pool and snack bar were shut as mid May.

Beausoleil is an old established campsite which has been here for many years. Although there are probably 20 other campsites scattered around the edges of this popular little resort this is the only one in the heart of the village - with just a five minute walk to shops, market, cafes and a supermarket. Although some of the other campings offer ACSI Camping Card discount rates to try to attract off peak visitors Beausoleil, because of its location, does not need to - we were charged €25 for two of us with an electricity hook up in June 2018.
The site is on sandy, well drained soil, with mature trees for shade. There is one central toilet/ shower block, new and clean, alongside the original older facilities, and an outdoor swimming pool at the other end of the site. There is a small shop with a cafe bar providing the usual campsite meals and snacks - but the real restaurant to make for is Le Golfy down by the port. Lunch prices there on weekdays are a steal, but weekend prices when the smart set arrives are dearer.
Although one of the other well known campsites a few miles away can have 200 British families on site at any one time here at Beausoleil there were none - all were French as far as we could see. I am really puzzled by the earlier review which speaks of rowdy nightlife and a noisy campsite across the road - in fact there are only villas and rather expensive holiday houses across the road. In mid June with only older people on the campsite and no children around the campsite was quiet, not rowdy in the least, and La Palmyre itself is very middle class and far from rowdy, but the whole area fills up for six weeks in summer and traffic on the roads is very busy then.
Take bikes or rent them for the week if you are going there - the cycle paths through the pine forest stretch for miles, and can take you to the calm sea beaches on the sheltered side of the headland or over the dunes to the wilder waters of the Cote Sauvage.

Large site with good access to lovely sandy beach, flat pitches with plenty of room. Would imagine in high season it is very busy and may be noisy. Even when we were there we were treated to someone's choice of music from the mobile homes across the road.
If you like a busy site with lots of 'night life' this may be the place for you, if you want a quiet peaceful site avoid it.
Used off peak discount card and was ok for one night stopover on way to somewhere else, would not want to pay full price as not really the sort of site we would want to stay in for a long time.
