 We had a lovely long weekend at Twitchen Campsite. Knocked on the farm door and tried ringing but no answer. Went onto the field and Mrs Thomas was there having just cleaned the showers. Lovely old lady who told which pitch we could have. Very spacious site having two showers and two toilets which are clean and spacious. 20p to use the shower just about long enough. The site is down a very short narrow lane and the access is easy. We heard very little road noise and the site was great for visiting Ilfracome, Mortehoe and Croyde. We had a lovely 5 mile coastle walk with the dog starting and finishing at Mortehoe. We were lucky enough to see the seals bobbing about and sunning themselves in the sea. Beautiful small village with a pub that has Sky sports and is dog friendly and serves good food all day. I need to add there is no longer a farm shop on site. We would definitely stay again as we love the cl sites with no frills and peace and quiete and for £13. 50 a night it was fab.

We arrived on Twitchen Farm Campsite with our Folding Camper in tow, and knocked at the Farm Cottage door as no one was around. Mrs. Thomas came out and she told us to choose where to pitch, we stopped a while and had a friendly chat with her, lovely Lady (Such friendly campers too. )
All pitches were very spacious and flat, all in a line, with no other units in front or behind you, with a tall hedge behind for shelter.
This campsite is a 'No Frills' (5 unit, Certificated Location Caravan Site) with far reaching Scenic countryside views.
Two sets of unisex shower/toilet/wash basin and mirrors suites. (Showers 20p) both stocked with toilet rolls and hand towels.
Plenty of space for children/adults to run around, play games, cycle or walk dogs.
This 'working' Farm has it's own Farm Shop and the Bus Stop is down by the Campsite entrance.
The grass was kept short, but with the morning dew and loose grass you might need to take suitable footwear to keep your feet dry.
Lovely calm site, thoroughly recommended and would definitely book again. All for £10. 50 including EHU a night, (Slightly higher in the Summer season. )
The Cattle get very vocal in the evenings, which was an enjoyable part of the Farm experience, but it never lasted too long.
Lots of lovely beaches nearby, centrally close to Ilfracombe, Barnstable, Woolacombe, Combe Martin, Westward Ho!, Lynton and Lynmouth.
Look out for the Baby sized 'old fashioned' Caravan on site.
