Fairly easy to find, helpful person on site to show us to the location although we were rather later than planned. Managed to pitch the tent in record time (although there were 7 adults this time round so.)
Although it was July it was COLD! After scraping enough 50ps together so we could all use the showers, we were all impressed with the cleanliness of the toilet blocks and the heat of the water (which was VERY welcome).
Down sides - we were on a slope so everything on the table had to be propped up to keep it straight, the road noise didn't stop all night (it was a constant drone)I didn't take the kids this time and I am pleased about that as there are no facilities for them to use, and like most kids they would need entertaining. Bit of trek to the loo in the middle of the night
Upside - the view - absolutely fantastic!

Not a site for everybody, Very quiet (as in not may other caravaners or campers), otherwise a bit of noise from the main Dorchester to Yeovil Road. Also great if you want to have a go at Clay pigeon shooting as there is a club right next door with guns for hire, also a fantastic Karting track also Karts for hire if you wish, great fun,Toilet block Very Clean, although you do have to pay 50P for the showers. We were in what looked like a field but this had a geeat view over the valley, there is another half that is more like a normal site rather than a field.
Also cheaper than most sites
Yes I would visit again. 10 Miles From Dorchester and the same from Yeovil. And not much further from Weymouth and Bournemouth.
There is also a Pub/Cafe/Pool table and soon a hotel (Under construction) right next door

We visited this site with friends for a week, go- kart track we didn't really hear the karts at all :) shooting ground nearby but not that much noise from there :).
Toilet blocks were clean n tidy, we had electric hook up in the camping field, dogs were welcome on site :)
Local area had loads of good walks, scenery
But there were some downsides to this site.
Dogs were welcome but no where for them to be let off a lead :(
Noise from main road was very loud all the time, and most disappointing and a health risk was the raw sewage seeping onto the grass area opposite our tent :( ( needs to be dealt with asap )
Also the pub and restaurant were hardly ever open :(

Impeccable toilet block, with wash facilities, and at least half a dozen showers. Pitches well marked, electric hook up, hard standing and grass pitches/hire vans/gas/ very basic shop.
Very good (c&c) standards.
Noise. Ok right. First theres a Gun club 200ft south, which hold outdoor competitions at weekends. Occasionly heard over the Go kart track, 200ft west which (also hold weekend competitions outdoors) and 500ft north a 'tyre shredding' facility, which belongs to the local scrap yard. So all in all its a sportsmans site mainly, where noise is to be expected at busy times. Equipment/safety gear for the local sport facilities can be hired on site.
Club house of gun club nearby serves 'cafe' food by day and 'resteraunt' food on selected evenings. More toilets. Payphone and pool table.
Check space as the site fills up at peak times due to the local clubs weekend competitions.
