My husband and I booked last minute for a weekend getaway from the city and we were not disappointed. The farm is set in a peaceful, rural area which allowed us to unwind while watching an incredible pink sunset from the porch of the yurt.
The yurt itself was spacious and comfortable with a wood burning stove which warmed us all night. We particularly enjoyed meeting the owners and their gorgeous dogs! On Sunday we drove 30 mins to Lyme Regis for a walk on the beach. It was a perfect weekend and we are hoping to go back soon to try Big Red!

We stayed in the yurt which was fab, spacious and comfy. The woodburner kept us cosy when the sun went down. Being out in the countryside means no light pollution so star watching with a glass of vino is recommended. They have thought of everything to make the ultimate glamping experience.
The shower was hot and clean. For the greenies out there a composting loo will make you feel like a king whilst on the throne. We had a totally relaxing time and loved the laid back atmosphere wanted to take the chickens and pigs home with us.

We’ve stayed at Holly Farm twice now and absolutely love the place! Both times have been truly memorable, made even more special by the owners Jason and Tracy who are lovely and very easy going. Our first visit was for two nights staying in the yurt. The weather was amazing so we mostly relaxed outside (on the comfortable loungers) soaking up the sun in the day and then sitting out with the campfire, staring at the stars at night (which are so bright with the limited light pollution). Our second visit was again to stay in the yurt but this time we bought friends that stayed in Big Red (they loved it). We weren’t so lucky with the weather this time but had an equally magical visit, sitting in the yurt with all the lanterns lit, the log burner going and playing games all night.
There are so many things we love about Holly Farm; here are just a few highlights:
•It’s so spacious and as there are only two abodes, you’re pretty much alone!
•Jason and Tracy have thought of everything, you really only need to bring your food and drinks.
•Great location – close to lovely walks, cycle paths, pubs, shops and the Dorset coast.
•Incredibly friendly and helpful hosts.
•Tastefully decorated accommodation and very clean/well-kept shower unit and toilet.
•Campfires allowed.
•Excellent cooking facilities provided.
•Best of all is that it doesn’t matter about the weather. The yurt and Big Red are still lovely in the rain.
I would highly recommend a stay here, you won't be disappointed!

Tracy and Jason saved our Honeymoon. We had arranged to stay at another place, but were let down last minute. I messaged Holly Farm last minute and Jason messaged me back saying they had space.
When we arrived Tracy and Jason were really nice people, and the Yurt was mind blowing. A really romantic place to spend a few days. There was everything you needed.
Very good washing and shower facilities, cooking area, deck chair area.
They have even thought about little things like games for the night. The eggs were amazing as well, and although we thought there wasn't a lot to do, we found loads once we were there. Jason even offered us a lift to the local pub.
A lovely couple, which make a lovely holiday venue a very special experience.

Myself and my husband came to stay at Holly Farm Holidays over the Easter weekend. We decided to book Big Red which is a converted railway carriage and to be honest I'm not really sure what I was expecting having never stayed in a railway carriage before. We were impressed! The weather was really cold and so I was really pleased that when we arrived the log burner was already smoldering away and our accommodation was really toasty. Big Red has been beautifully converted to sleep 2 on a sofabed. There are facilities to cook and the double doors open up to look over stunning Somerset countryside. There is a self composting toilet that trust me is much more modern than it sounds and the shower facilities are clean and tastefully done.
To spend a weekend as part of a small holding felt like sampling a taste of the good life with chickens, piglets, geese and 2 well behaved dogs all added into the mix. That said none of it intruded into our relaxing break of meals in local pubs, walks in beautiful woodland and just generally chilling in the countryside. The owners were really friendly and helpful and with that and top quality, reasonably priced accommodation we will definitely be returning again.
